2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Tasted slightly "tinny". Mild and slightly flat tasting as well. I wouldn’t say they captured the essence of Autumn. To me this time of year represents spices, apples/pears, corn, etc...I don’t taste any of that in this beer. Overall its decent but I wouldn’t go out of my way to drink it.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a nice amber color with minimal lacing and head retention. Tastes malty and of Autumn, but not much else worth noting here. Smells sweet, akin to a red style beer. Just alright.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Moderate cereal and caramel for the malt, light herbs and dough for the hops and yeast, with hints of dark dried fruit. Head is average size, off-white with some spots of lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is medium to dark brown. Flavor starts lightly sweet and lightly to moderately acidic, then finishes slightly sweet and lightly acidic. Palate is medium, a little slick with a lively carbonation. Not completely Marzen-ish but still a tasty Autumn seasonal.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
DATE TASTED: September 21, 2014... GLASSWARE: Barley Creek pint...OCCASION: football watching with friends Mary and Rich... APPEARANCE: reasonably copper-amber body; strangely quiet in the way of bubbles; head mellows to a thin off-white head... AROMA: fragrant floral hops abound; nicely rounded caramel settles and balances the aroma--alluring... PALATE: crunchy and medium-bodied, with slick finish that lingers confidently; possesses the effervescence of cola.....TASTE: mellow, sweet caramel with a pitchy, sharp funk that provides a distinct profile... OVERALL: what makes this an autumnal brew? a darker body? a smoky scent? a heartier flavor? This beer really doesn’t have those attributes, but it does work well enough to compliment apps and football watching....

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Transfer from BA review on 10-10-13-
Poured from bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a clear cooper colored beer with a one finger white head. The head fades rather fast, giving way to a decent level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is bready and sweet with a strong presence of fruit. The fruits detected in the nose are largely of apple and some lighter pear. Mixed with this are a good dose of caramel sweetness.
Taste – The taste begins with flavors of a malty and bready taste with a strong presence of caramel sweetness. As the taste advances further some apple flavors come to the tongue, giving it a slightly apple cider like taste. Some spice flavors also come to the tongue as well. With the taste advancing further the sweeter flavors begin to fade some and some lighter herbal hop flavors come to the tongue. In the end a slightly spiced and sweeter fruit and malty flavor is left to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the slightly lower than average side in terms of thickness with a carbonation level that is rather average. The thin body was actually quite good with the apple and sweeter flavors of the beer as well as did a nice job with the lighter herbal hop flavors that came to the tongue at the end of the taste creating a very easy drinking brew.
Overall – A rather easy drinking harvest/fall style brew. It starts sweeter and end with a just enough hop and spice to add a bit of complexity.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours amber-orange with a thin off white head with some lacing. Aroma is of toasted malts, sweet malts, caramel, bready malts, light pear fruitiness, and some light grassy hops. Taste is about the same as the aroma. Has a medium body with a semi creamy mouthfeel and a mostly sweet, medium finish. Overall, a pretty tasty marzen that is easy drinking.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz. bottle. I’m confused. Is this a lager or an ale??? It pours a semi clear orange/copper color with an off white head. The aroma is malty, grassy and a little skunky with some corn and sugar. The flavor is more of the same. Kind of simple, sweet maltiness with hints of grass. The finish is too sweet. The body is on the watery side. Not horrible, but pretty forgettable. So... is this a lager or an ale? I’m guessing ale. Shouldn’t be an Oktoberfest.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 oz bottle from backlog notes. Pours a slightly hazy orange amber color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have toasted malts, light caramel, tea leaves, earthy hops, it is just too bland.
