thornecb (1033), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA Aug 17, 2008 Pours gold into a tumbler. White head recedes to skim surface. Orange and coriander aromas. Sweet citrus upfront and crisp. Lasting yeasty wheat finish. brentfeesh (896), Gadsden, Alabama, USA Aug 17, 2008 12oz bottle from secret Santa 2008. Maybe he was mad, as this bottle looked damaged and the cap was rusted. Hazy straw color with a whitish particles. No head. This smells off. It was either infected or simply very strange for the style. A bit of sour fruit and a dull sock like aroma. Maybe some spice. There is only a hint of off flavor in the taste but it is deep down and if not for the aroma I don’t know that you would have noticed it. There is a bit of tangy spice and a touch of Belgian yeast flavor. The whole thing is an odd combo but it is drinkable. Medium body and wet mouth feel. I’ll try this again some day and see if a fresher sample is different (though I don’t know bout the age of this one). nearbeer (1199), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Aug 13, 2008 12 oz.
