Blasphemy is our award winning QUAD aged in bourbon barrels. But not overaged, so we've picked up gentle vanilla oaky notes which complement rather than supercede the complex qualities that already make QUAD such an incredible beer.

Amber, bit hazy with almost no head. Sweet fruity aroma. Sour and sweet, and once again sweet (well balanced, but too much for me) taste. Hazelnut notes, fruitiness.

Bottle. Pours a clear dark amber body under a small fizzy off-white head that faded to a thin ring. The nose is super fruity and sweet with a hefty influence from the barrel, lots of bourbon, vanilla, and wood. The vanilla really melds well with the fruity notes of plum and fig. The flavor is quite boozy and bourbon focused. Lots of vanilla, tannic wood, dark fruits, moderate alcohol, caramel sweetness, and a bit of tobacco. Medium bodied and fairly sticky with fizzy carbonation. There’s not a whole lot of yeastiness in here, it’s clearly an ’American Quad’ and not much of a reflection of the Belgian classics.

750ml bottle. Slightly hazy reddish brown shade. Head fades to a ring. Aroma is big on whiskey and toffee. Taste has toffee, cherry, raisin and brown sugar, with the barrel working nicely to tie it all together. Seems most similar to La Trappe Quadrupel. One of the best US quads I’ve had, even if it is missing that last rung of complexity.

750ml bottle. DArk amber pour. It has some vanilla notes and a tartness that is not quite infected but enough to take away from the barrel and the quad-like flavor.

GIJOE (1083) - North Berwick, Maine, USA - DEC 10, 2014
Pours a burnt red with a foamy, off-white head that reduces to thin film within a couple minutes. Some lacing. Nose is slightly boozy with sweet caramel and a hint of tart apple. Taste is on the sweet side, but quite well-balanced. Full-bodied brew with lively carbonation and a long, tangy finish. Very nice!

Dark maroon in color with a thin filmy head and tons of sediment. Big sugary raisin aroma with noticeable alcohol. Very sweet. Full bodied and slick on the tongue with a long finish. Very tasty brew!

beautiful, slightly cloudy amber color; great aroma - mostly bourbon and oak; a great, smooth, strong beer; fruity Belgian yeast, malt, and lots of bourbon and oak notes; nice warm, alocohol finish

Bottled. Pours a brown murky color with almost no head whatsoever. Aroma is figs, candied sugar, little bit of vanilla and bourbon. Flavor is pretty tame for how strong this one is. Figs, some currants. Little bit of the whiskey and a little bit of booziness. Pretty much what you’d expect from a quad. But if I’m getting a barrel aged beer I want a little more complexity. But overall it really is pretty nice. As far as quads go, very good. As far as barrel aged goes, it could do better.
