Blasphemy is our award winning QUAD aged in bourbon barrels. But not overaged, so we've picked up gentle vanilla oaky notes which complement rather than supercede the complex qualities that already make QUAD such an incredible beer.

Pour is a murky dark orange/red color with no head at all. Tons of alcohol on the nose, good bit of oak and vanilla, dark fruits (cherry, fig), sweet ripe banana, and a touch of yeast. Pretty prominent bourbon taste (although not overbearing) up front, a bit of oak and caramel, sweet syrupy notes, some ripe fruit, and vanilla. Itís good, and it has more going on than most other barrel aged beers, but it feels like itís missing something.

Bottle bought 7/2012 pours ruby red almost purple few heads. Light-medium body. Heated on impact then the vanilla and berries/plum come through before finishing with considerable heat. Alc IS noticeable. Really smooth for almost 12%. Impressive stuff. Wish I held on to it another 4 years.

Quite strong and very malty at the same time as rich. Sweet and alcoholic, thick and greatly clouded,

Thanks perhaps in part to the high level of alcohol and quite a bit of age, Blasphemy was tasty enough to make me utter a few blasphemous phrases. Brownish red color. Fruity, toasty, and mildly funky aromas. Big note of red fruit and ribes in the flavor with a little tartness coming through. Alcohol is almost entirely hidden. Thereís a bit of earthiness and some bread. This was the oldest Quad Iíve had so far. I have to conclude that it was an intriguing and rewarding experience.

Bottle. A- Cranberry juice, oak, subtle whiskey, very subtle smoke. A- Red brown color, clear liquid, minimal tan head. T- Oak, whiskey, cranberry, cherry, subtle smoked malt. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, complex finish. O- For being a 2.5 year old Quad I was shocked with how fruity and effervescent this beer was. Really easy to drink for 12% too. Quite tasty. I could drink a ton of this.

Pours a dark burgundy with a think khaki head that quickly dissipates. Lots of wood and whiskey on the nose with notes of toffee, raisins, prune with a heavy malt presence. The wood and whiskey attack your palate followed by flavors of raisins, dark fruits and caramel. Full bodied, moderate carbonation, medium viscosity. The wood gives you a lasting dry finish in the roof of your mouth and the alcohol is hot in the throat. The intro says that this is not overaged but my guess is that the whiskey barrels were freshly emptied since you have an aggressive whiskey presence. I am glad it is aggressive because it fits so well.

A nice quad overall. Pours a deep red-brown with a tan head. Smells of berries. Taste is berries, quite malty, with some creme and licorice. Had in the bottle.

A very unique quad. Tons of body and flavor. Pours medium brown with a thick frothy head. Favors are rich butter, buttermilk, milk chocolate, and chocolate malt. Warm, but not overpowering alcohol feel. Goes perfect with milk chocolate. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Had a sample at WOBFest 2016. Another offering that I rushed to try first. Really good quad with tons of spice that is balanced out by the plum flavor nicely. Well done.

Woody brown color with small tan head. Oaky, caramel, purple fruit aroma. Medium full body. Some alcohol, minimal carbonation. Very sweet, fruity, boozy, some wood. Flavors are good but a little too sweet and medicinal.

Itís heavy handed, it plays all itís cards right up front. People who donít love bourbon barrel aging might get tired of it before the bottle is empty, but Iím a sucker for oak. This beer pours medium brown with average head and carbonation. The aroma is vanilla, bananas, liquor, warm malt, and, of course, oak. Thatís the flavor, too. Nothing subtle and not really complex. Having said that, I enjoyed every predictable drop.
