COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
At Weyerbacher, we prefer to brew things true to European style guidelines, so our barley wine is definitely on the malty side, without being overly sweet. Notes of date or perhaps fig on the palate follow a pleasurably malty aroma to your taste buds. The finish is warm and fruity, and begs for the next sip.

Bottle 350ml an amber red ale with medium creamy head. Nose is intense on barley sugar, red fruit, and sweetness. Aroma is on a creamy fruit syrup, grapes, blackcurrant, apricot, apples, very sweet, caramel and even light chocolate notes, light diacetyl, spicy on pepper and cinnamom, banana (some Aventinus eisbok profile), phénols. Quite pleasant, near to belgian style.

Hazy dark amber pour, slight white head. Nose is malty, caramel and just a touch of hops. Mouthfeel is nice - not too heavy. Slightly bitter in the aftertaste. Nice balance of malt and some hops.

12 ounce thanks to robenalt. Brown sugar. Malty. Maple syrup. Sweet all around with that dried fruit barley wine taste. Nice sugary nose.

Aromas a of sweet malts, dried apricot, raisin, milk chocolate and a little bready. Taste is malty sweet with a big dried fruit flavor of raisin and fig. Finish is sweet and long. Very different approach to other dry hopped barley wines.

Strongly malted nose with cereal, honeycomb and a hint of kiwifruit. Flavour is sweet caramel with a hint of underpinning bitterness. Some fruit notes come through - figs and some more kiwi. Finish is treacly and rich with just a little freshening bitterness from the hops. Very nice.
