bbp182 (245), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 5, 2008 This is on tap at Just Sports Bar and Grille. The look is a beautiful amber color with a head that lasts and an ok lacing. The smell is amazing. Just from the smell you can tell that its thick and high in alcohol. But its sweet and malty and a little fruity. Wow, it is a very thick and full bodied. You can really taste the fruitiness to it! Its great. For an 11.1 percent the alcohol is a little present but not much. Another home run for Weyerbacher!
darn1207 (193), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Jul 17, 2008 12oz bottle. hazy amber color with a thin quickly dissipating head. sweet malt, dark fruits and caramel aroma. figs and raisins along with strong malt in the taste. finishes with a dry alcoholic burn. good sipp’n beer. kiefdog (305), Tampa, Florida, USA Jul 14, 2008 12oz bottle from Kingdom Liquors (Tampa, FL). Pours a dark reddish brown with a thick and frothy tan head that settles slowly. Good head retention and lacing on glass. Aroma is sweet malt, maple syrup, dark ripe fruit, some molasses and caramel. Flavor is much of the same: sweet malts, caramel, slight hoppy bitterness throughout with a clean, sweet finish. Medium-bodied with notes of phenol. Hophead22 (78), Redlands, California, USA Jul 13, 2008 2002 bottle. Sweet malty aroma. Dark brown in appearence. Virtually no head. Very easy to drink, not alot of hoppiness to it at all. Could easily get messed up drinking this stuff. I like it. Beerman6686 (536), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 11, 2008 Pours a hazy brownish color with an off white head.
