Jun 3, 2009 Bottle and on tap at Taco Mac during epic free shirt quest. Pours cloudy orange copper with a large, lasting off-white head. Amazing smell and taste- grapefruit, pine, floral hops, tropical fruit, cotton candy, caramel. Smooth with a bitter grapefruit finish. Definitely the highlight of the Quest for me.

Jun 1, 2009 Big beautiful rocky head, gorgeous lacing that just coats the glass. Wonderful perfumed pine resin and citrus oil fragrance. Oily, medium mouthfeel with pine resin, citrus oil, grass and herbs - and just enough malt.
Complex, bitter, refreshing.
Lovely deep orange hue, too.

May 30, 2009 12 ounce bottle received in a trade from Illini08. Thanks, Jeremy! I was very excited to try this beer... I love IIPA’s and have heard great things about this one. Pours a deep amber color with a two finger width tan frothy head that stuck around for the duration of the beer. The head is one of the thickest I have ever seen in an IIPA. It also left great lacing on the side of the glass. The aroma was a great mix of strong hops, pine, some citrus and faint malt. The taste is also very good... it consisted of very strong hops, citrus and some slight pine in the background. This had a bit heavier mouth feel that most IIPA’s that I have had which I liked. It also left a great taste of hop bitterness after each sip. Another great IIPA... you really know how to pick them, Jeremy!

May 30, 2009 transfering from tasting notes. Bottle. Poured a nice orange yellow color with a medium off white head. Aroma is nice citrus hops with soime malt sweetness. Taste is nice and fruity with lots of tasty hops. I like this one.

May 25, 2009 Bright cloudy yellow orange with a fluffy head. Aroma is very pungent pine hops and faint fruity citrus hops. Taste is very oily and abrasive pine hops. Lingers quite a bit.

May 25, 2009 [Bottle] Pours a hazy deep amber with a scant beige head. Aroma is piney, grapefruit, and a hint of metallic malt. Flavor is quite bitter, brash and abrasive. Lots of pine and some citrus. Really resinous. Little malt backbone makes this a really dry and harsh beer. Just a bit too unbalanced. For a 9% beer this has about as little sweetness as I think you could achieve.

May 25, 2009 This one overall had a pretty strong bitterness that lasted. IT was a sweet body to balance, but a strong resinous body. Had mixed in elements of citrus and fruit.
