Intense hop aroma of pine, grass, and citrus. Powerful upfront grapefruit and pine flavor with a balanced, smooth finish. Very nicely done. A fantastic DIPA. NomDeBeer (399), Maryland, USA Apr 26, 2009 Pours a hazy red-copper color with a small head. Aroma is earthy and sweet with caramel. Taste is caramel and toffee malt backbone plus plenty of hops - grapefruit, pine, and plenty of bite. Alcohol is very-well hidden, and the palate is smooth and full. Low carbonation. Outstanding DIPA, very drinkable and enjoyable. 41cubs (131), , New Jersey, USA Apr 21, 2009 Updated: May 5, 2009Nice job on this guy. Smell of caramel keeps pushing toward the front with a fruity tartness following. Mouthfeel is full and rich and lip smacking at the end, very good. Flavor is same as aroma with slight maple syrup maltiness and a bitter finish. Head flavor (the same as the beer but creamy) and retention are awesome and definitely add to the flavor.
