Commercial Description:
Fast on the heels of our fantasticly reformulated Hops Infusion, our brewers have picked up the gauntlet and brewed a Double IPA using exclusively Simcoe(R) Hops! This west coast Hops was created in 2000 by Select Botanicals, Inc. and carries a fantastic flavor profile abounding with citrusy-grapefruit, piney, resiny notes that pushes this Double IPA over the top. 9.0% ABV in the brew gives it a nice malt foundation as well. Draft and bottles, 12 oz. in PA, 22 oz. out of state (as we have no 6-packs),

12 oz. bottle from Grape & Gourmet. Dark orange pour with a thick, creamy white head. Intense hop aroma of pine, grass, and citrus. Powerful upfront grapefruit and pine flavor with a balanced, smooth finish. Very nicely done. A fantastic DIPA.

Pours a hazy red-copper color with a small head. Aroma is earthy and sweet with caramel. Taste is caramel and toffee malt backbone plus plenty of hops - grapefruit, pine, and plenty of bite. Alcohol is very-well hidden, and the palate is smooth and full. Low carbonation. Outstanding DIPA, very drinkable and enjoyable.

Nice job on this guy. Smell of caramel keeps pushing toward the front with a fruity tartness following. Mouthfeel is full and rich and lip smacking at the end, very good. Flavor is same as aroma with slight maple syrup maltiness and a bitter finish. Head flavor (the same as the beer but creamy) and retention are awesome and definitely add to the flavor. Thank You Weyerbacher. 2009 12 oz.

Hazy, ruby orange color with a slightly off-white head. Aroma of wet hops, sour malts, and a drop of honey. Flavor is pretty similar, nicely balanced. Great mouthfeel with a lasting hoppy finish.

Pours a burnt orange body with a beige head. Smells of mellow piney hops with a caramel note. Taste apricot, pine, bitter, caramel. There is a lot going on. Long bitter finish.
