4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Nice looking beer with a clean orange color and with a white-yellowing head that leaves a fine lacing. The aroma is not overpowering but it is very attractive indeed. It is elegant, it leaves place for other aroma’s then Simcoe hops and it is complex and well in ballans. The taste is also very attactive and well ballanced. In the mouth you can notice hints of mild honey that gives a dry smoothness on the pallet, some fruits, zest of sweet oranges, herbs some well integrated spices and for sure the nobel bitterness of Simcoe hops. Avery nice beer with an elegant caracter and a very good ballans. At the LCRBM in Kulminator Antwerp.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: AUG 11, 2007 Bottle on 9/11//06. Clear amber pour under a white head leaving excellent lace. Strongly citrus and floral aroma. Medium body with light carbonation and a resinous character. Some honey and light fruit is nicely balanced by grapefruit bitterness leading to a long and bitter finish.

Any first impressions?
-A creamy icing of a head reigns atop the deep orange.
-Earthy pine trees rise proudly over the bulbous oranges.
-Puffy, caramelly cereals lay a sturdy foundation for the pine trees to grow healthily.
-The seductively smooth mouthfeel is ably malted, and softly carbonated.
What if you dig deeper?
-A vociferous coniferous hop bitterness paints the back of the tongue.
-Maltiness is quiet on the flavor front, but provides ample enjoyment mouthfeel-wise.
-This isn’t too intense for a Double IPA, which I appreciate, and delivers enough hop oils and malty substance to keep you interested throughout the glass.
Bottle; no date.

Golden orange ale with a thin off white head. Good pinhey hops with light malt and caramel, and smooth alcohol. A very sweet malt comes out, with notes of treacle, floral piney hops, sweet candy sugar. Rich and smooth I2PA. Enjoyed with the Mtl Crew Sept. 9, 2006.

UPDATED: FEB 4, 2008 Bottle at Kookfest 06. Piney, sappy, grapefruit. Sauvignon blanc grassy aroma. Hazy amber with beige/green head. Really intense sweetish malt and then very good hop on end. I do like it. 4.3/5
Rerate Bottle at HogTownHarry Fest ’08. I can’t think of a beer with a better aroma. I could quite happily curl up with a couple of bottles of this and not see the world for days on end.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Red berries and grapefruit in the aroma. A strong flowery hoppiness with just a bit of red berries. Likeable, but not well balanced.

Orange-amber with a lacey white head. The best nose of USA hops possible. Fluid orange marmalade cake. Hops, of course, but also some garden herbs, and preserved fruit (oranges). Oily, fully bodied, lipsmacking hopoils. This is how a great I˛PA ought to be.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
[2nd Low Countries RateBeer meeting] Aroma of loads of cascade hops, apples and malt. Hazy, orange-brown coloured with an off-white, firm head. Taste is sweet and sticky, heavy hoppy. More bitter towards the finish. Lacking balance.
