COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Fast on the heels of our fantasticly reformulated Hops Infusion, our brewers have picked up the gauntlet and brewed a Double IPA using exclusively Simcoe(R) Hops! This west coast Hops was created in 2000 by Select Botanicals, Inc. and carries a fantastic flavor profile abounding with citrusy-grapefruit, piney, resiny notes that pushes this Double IPA over the top. 9.0% ABV in the brew gives it a nice malt foundation as well. Draft and bottles, 12 oz. in PA, 22 oz. out of state (as we have no 6-packs),

A hazy amber beer with a thin oof-white head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of hops and grapefruit. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of hops, alfa acids, and caramel, leading to a nicely bitter end. Nice.

Clear orange-amber beer with nice and thick off white head. The nose is one and all hops, it is herby and has interesting tones of mint and pastis. It also has hints of citrus, dry malts and wood. The taste is smooth and dry at the same time. It is nutty, and has touches of bread and lemon zests. Aftertaste is refreshing and fine hoppy, it stays in your mouth for minutes.

Bottled - courtesy of Mullman. Thanks a lot. Orange/amber coloured. Uclear. Light brown dense head. Pines, herbs, caramel, some fruits and light sweetness in the nose. Yummy. Flavour as well is very intriguing. Piney, herbal, flowery, light spiced and smooth sweetness. Full bodied. Balanced and quite complex. Dry mouthfeel. Is citric and heavily bitter in the end. Good one.

Bottle. Sort of cloudy. Very good. Very intense flavor. Not as hoppy as I expected, but could be due to balance of high gravity. Almost like a barleywine.

Bottled. Hazy amber coloured. Very hoppy aroma of grapefruits. Very hoppy sweetish flavour with a dry and bitter finish. Medium bodied. Good, but not very balanced.

22 oz bottle: Pours hazy light amber/orange w/ a lasting off white head. Wow! Pungent little bugger! Piney and grapefruity hop aromas abound! Malt balance in aroma definitely a bit behind in this race, but lightly toasty and caramelly. Frutiness is all grapefruity hops. Balance is pretty much the same for the flavor. Grapefruity hops dominate the flavor profile, but well balanced between sweetness and bitter. Finish is slightly to bitter and hop flavored. Fruitiness again is all about the grapefruity hops. Heavier medium body, smooth mouthfeel, well hidden ABV which I’m just realizing now is 9%! Medium carbonation. The only downside... Well, there really isn’t one, except if you don’t like Simcoe hops!

Where do i begin? The aroma: After popping the lid I knew this was special. Pours an average copper with a light head and lacing. Looks are deceiving. A big hoppy flavor with subtle sweet piney taste and bitterness that bursts off of your tongue. Smooth leaving a wonderful aftertaste. This has a high alcohol content which is not noticeable so be careful as it will sneak up on you. A quality complex brew that is worthy of a permanent place in the beer stable.

Holy Hops Batman! This baby i overloaded with those lovely Simcoes. From front to back, top to bottom. Pours a hazy orange with a thick head. Rich flavor throughout with a nice malty sweetness. Excellent IIPA!
