Jan 24, 2009 12oz bottle. Pours a nice copper color with minimal white head. Nose is simcoe of course, very grassy and fresh. Palate is full and has a very nice complete presence. Flavors are simcoe hops with a bit of nice sweet malt backround.

Jan 23, 2009 Updated: Jan 25, 200912oz bottle. Hazy amber-orange with a sticky white head. Big floral, fruity hop aroma with pineapple and grapefruit. Sweet, bready malt balanced by a big pineaple and grapefruit hop bitterness. Full bodied, with small, yet aggressive carbonation that works with the hop oil to scrub your tongue. A sweet, yet well balanced DIPA that drips fruit all over the place. Nice.

Jan 19, 2009 (bottle, thanks Daknole) Pours dark copper with a soapy white head that leaves nice lacing. Aroma of cat urine, tomato, pepper, garlic, herbs, and some grapefruit peel. Flavor begins with sweet caramel malt that leads to peppery hops and quite a dry, bitter finish. Warming produces flavors of celery and some garlic. Mouthfeel is medium.

Jan 17, 2009 Thanks to Abcfan for this one. Popped the top and the aroma of well, simcoe hops, smacks you in the nostrils. Awesome. Pour is hazy golden with a nice head. Flavor is nice and malty with a great citrus hop flavor and bitterness. Sweetness and Bitterness are balanced nearly perfectly. I’d like to try one of these fresh.

Jan 13, 2009 Crushed with Jakebra, thanks to Honkeybra. Very nice aroma of hops, and caramel malts at the same time. Flavor isnt quite what the aroma was, but still an above average DIPA. Thanks, Honkey. Dug it.

Jan 9, 2009 16 ounce sample on tap at World of Beer in Tampa, FL. Aroma is full of hempy, piney, lightly catty simcoe hoppiness. Slightly sweet. Hazy orange body with a medium off-yellow head and nice lacing. Sticky, sweet, chewy citrus hop flavors to start. Becomes a bit astringent and acidic. Finishes with a little more sweetness and some bitter hop and ethanol kick. This beer doesn’t really seem to come together. Still decent, though.

Jan 8, 2009 Pours a clear honey yellow with thick white head. Aroma is woodsy metallic yet floral/banana undertones. Flavor is creamy pine that is offset by floral notes. Body is light but creamy with high carbonation.

Jan 4, 2009 Tulip from bottle.
Thick opaque red/tan color from the bottle, with a thick soapy light tan head. Unique bitter citrus aroma, pink grapefruit, tangerine, mandarin, some floral hints. Bubbly character in the nose. Bitter boozy flavor, warm with citrus named above, adding some lemon hints. Bitey foamy palate, with a velvety finish. Great double IPA.
