And I get this bomber brought back to me from Asheville. Super hops. Super pine. I tried to sneak it by my wife, but she caught me. elihapa (1051), Honolulu, California, USA

Aroma is of intense hops, floral bouquet, cinnamon spice and light sweetness. Upon tasting, I notice there is minimal carbonation. Thick, syrupy palate that is loaded with flavor. This is an incredibly smooth offering of intense fruity hops, bitterness, grapefruit and flowers. The finish is superb, probably the best balance of malts and hops, sweetness and bitterness I’ve had so far. Although I think the carbonation could be increased add crispness to this brew, I really can’t complain about this beer! Did I mention the delicious hop finish that coats your mouth? | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 14, 2008 This beer is all about aroma...Ponderosa pine, citrus grove, and a little candied fruit. Blood-orange in color with a nice 1/2 white head and tremendous lacing that coats the glass. Flavor is what one would expect...not much more. Tweety...thanks for the sample!!! soyorganic (217), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 14, 2008 Bottle: poured dark copper color with copper head that retains throughout. The aroma of the beer is one of the best things about it. A combination of hops with pine and citrus notes. The initial taste is a mouth heavy hop taste that does not linger the way I like. It is then replaced by a dull earthy taste which does not complement the inital taste. This beer is good nevertheless as I have a liking for any beer with hops and the alcohol gives you a happy buzz. | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 10, 2008 Pours a hazy orangish amber with a small cream-colored head which left a little bit of bubbly swirl on the top. Lacing is extremely good. Smell is big piney resin hop oils with a big of orange and grapefruit citrus aroma as well. Smells a little sweeter than most IPAs with a nice bready malt aroma. Pine is present in the taste as well, but I get a little more citrus in the taste with grapefruit, oranges, and lemons. The sweetness is also there in the taste with a bit of malt and candy tastes. Very well balanced taste. Mouthfeel is thick, creamy and oozing with hop oils. Flavors coat the mouth and cling for quite a while. I really like this IPA and the sweetness that you don’t necessarily see in some DIPAs. It’s pretty big but definitely drinkable. bhensonb (4240), Woodland, California, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | May 8, 2008 12 oz bottle. Aroma of grapefruit citrus. Strong aroma. Reddish amber color with a decent beige head. Medium body with creamy carbonation. Flavor is a lot of grapefruit hop, but there is detectable caramel sweetness. The finish is more piney than grapefruit, and it is not dry. It’s truly balanced. That’s so rare. This is an exceptionally tasty ale. RoJoNo (19), Ohio, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 7, 2008 Great aroma of sweet citrus and piney hops. Sweet malty start that quickly switches to strong pine hops. Bitter finish with some alcohol present and a pretty thick body. Definitely a good beer for my hundredth rating.
