Feb 9, 2008 I had this after a Bell’s Expedition Stout. What a contrast. Great hop aroma. Nice amber color with a big fluffy head. Taste is citrus, pine bitter just right for a Piney like me. Not for the feint of heart

Feb 7, 2008 Bottle. Pours a clear copper with a one finger white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma of resiny floral and citrus hops with a sweet malt backbone. Taste is the same as aroma with a hint of sweet caramel. Medium mouthfeel with a strong but wel balanced amount of bitterness and well hidden alcohol. Very good.

Feb 3, 2008 Awesome double IPA, hazy orange color, lots of sticky lacing left around the glass, aroma full of spicy hops, flowery, grassy & earthy, full-bodied but smooth & creamy texture, flavors full of hops, dry, creamy & spicy, very flavorful & delicious, dry & extremely bitter finish, a real hophead’s delight

Feb 1, 2008 Tasted 01Feb2008: The hop aroma is evident the minute the beer is opened. Teh aroma has a piney, wintergreen (?) bouquet with a hint of sweet maltiness. The brew has a deep yellowish-orange (amber) color with an off white/cream color head. A little overcarbonated, but not too overly carbonated. The flavor has a piney, resiney, citrusy balanced with a sweet caramel like maltiness. The finish is oily sweet leaving an aftertaste of bitter hopiness. Perfect balance of malts and hops.

Jan 31, 2008 Nice Hoppy aroma.... Golden Brown color.... Sensational hoppy flavor, but without the bitterness.... Highly recommended .... I got to go smash a hockey game, but if you like IPAs, smash this one.... You will love this....

Jan 30, 2008 Pours a deep orange amber with a small off-white head. A fruity citrus pine resin nose. Sweet caramel as well. A strong earthy floral flavor with a pretty good toffee malt sweetness. Leaves a nice sweet taste that is outlasted by bitter. Overall really solid.

Woo Hoooooo this is more like it. Amazing rich bright amber colour with an excellent off white head. Loads of beautiful suspended bubbles conjours thoughts of lying on a beach at night and looking up at the stars. Amazing sprucey piney aroma. Fresh cut grass and just an all out hop fest. Flavour. You know what is coming. Totally straight forward and one dimensional but so so f**king good. A dry as hell and soooo so bitter shrine to Simcoe and I LOVE it! Stunning mouthfeel caps a glorious performance. Huge thanks to Harry!

Jan 20, 2008 Had tis one twice, several months apart. The first bottle was much better than the second - a lost of the huge hop aroma seemed gone. regardless a fine beer.
