| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Dec 6, 2007 Aroma is flora hops and distinctive, with only a modest afterarome of iron. Aroma holds welleven after sometime. The Head is fair and does not hold for maore than a few seconds. Color is anice amber just a little more on the yellow side and modestly Hazy. Carbonation is modest. The pallette is pillowy and full with just the right level of sweetness in flavor for the style, finishing with a firm and lasting. The carbonation is released in the mouth slowely and adds to the really good palatte.bitterness. checkmatei1 (630), Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma was that of Hops, Hops and Hops with some hints of citrus, pine and grass. The flavor was smooth with lots of citrus hops and bitters. EKGoldings (447), Radford, Virginia, USA

Almost over the top but the balance is pretty good, some sweet malt character and citrus resiny character hop aroma. Lovely. Quite dry (compared to DFH 90). Beer2000 (1782), Kristiansand, Norway
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 27, 2007 660ml bottle @ RBNAG’07. Hazy orange body with a nice, medium off-white head. Aroma is lots of citrus hops and some hay. Flavor is sweet malty with a distinct fruity bitter hoppyness, warming alcohol. Very harmonic with a long pleasant bitter finish. madcow75 (425), Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 26, 2007 Bottle. Pours slightly hazy copper, with a medium frothy head. Aroma up front is citrus and then a nice pine comes in. Taste is pure hops, citrus, grapefruit, lemons, pine, resin, wow, this is a pure hop bomb. Bitter all the way through into the finish and that bitterness lingers. More sweetness as it warms, but that bitterness stays. Great stuff. Hawksfan17 (717), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 26, 2007 This reddish brown pour smells of citrus, fruit and is loaded with hops. The flavor is light, hoppy, sweet and has a bitter finish. maltdog (514), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Nov 26, 2007 22 ounce bottle pours murky crimson with a two-finger camel head, stiff as foam rubber. Insane lace contrails chase themselves around my glass. Christmasy, pinetree and grapefruit nose; also cheddary/pretzely malt, some buttery diacetyl, and ghosts of ashtray and plastic. Syrupy sweet, fruity flavor boasts candied orange and lemon, ginger preserves, fresh-baked bread, gin with lime. Hints of bayberry in both taste and aroma. Alcoholic finish. Heavy, chewy, overfull palate is contrasted by airy/electric carbonation, stinging lupulin, and almost searing ethanol heat. Resiny aftertaste, not especially bitter. Could use more dryness and less alcohol intensity, but overall one of the better commercial 2IPAs out there.
