Ibrew2or3 (2714), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA Nov 15, 2007 Pours a clear beautiful copper with off white head. The aroma has a big hop punch of grapefruit, tangelo, ripe cantaloupe and faint malt sweetness. Nice. The flavor. Wow. Delicious. Initially the taste seems sweet. But the sweetness is fleeting. Then the grapefruit and tangelo hop flavors break through the malt sweetness in a gradual fashion becoming more and more bitter. Very tasty IIPA with just the right mouth feel for the style. Into the finish the grapefruit and tangelo hop bite evens out at an apex of bitterness with faint background sweetness. xnoxhatex (1305), Grand Rapids/Chicago, Michigan, USA Nov 13, 2007 12oz bottle from Bmartin08. Thanks man!!! Hazy dark amber with huge billowing off-white head. Huge pine hop aroma, caramel, citrus, very sweet. Flavor is nice pine bitterness, bubblegum, caramel, very sweet, nice balance. Creamy, full body. A great IIPA, love the strong hop bitterness and the big malt balance. Love it! Mike4686 (120), Bayonne, New Jersey, USA Nov 12, 2007 12oz bottle, pours a cloudy lightbrown color with little head, strong floral hop aroma, big huge hop flavor, nice bitterness, this is one of the best IPAs i’ve had, great beer. stangger (155), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 12, 2007 A Personal favorite. This beer has been described as "absolutely disgusting" by the large majority of people I know who have tried it. It’s an over-the-top, powerfully hopped Weyerbacher masterpiece. Tastes like: Paper City Blonde Hop Monster, Heavy Seas Loose Cannon JonR888710 (999), Cochabamba, Bolivia Nov 12, 2007 Hazy amber orange. Smells of pine and pineapple and apricot. Very fresh hops. Taste is big bright tart and bitter hops (yes i didnt use commas because that is the way the taste arrives). Very much like a lot of Imperial IPAs. Put together well, but really only an IPA enthusiast could have fun having more than a few sips of this. Sampled at the Weyerbacher Brewery in South Easton, PA. Sigmund (2197), Hafrsfjord, Norway Nov 7, 2007 Sampled bottle, RBNAG 2007 in Grimstad. ABV was 9%. Amber to orange colour, slightly hazy, decent head. Lovely Simcoe hops aroma. Distinctly hoppy flavour throughout, considerable sweetness but not bad. tarjei (1741), Bryne, Norway Nov 6, 2007 66 cl bottle. Hazy amber color, nice off-white head. Hoppy and fruity. Dry finish. Alcohol is well hidden. I like it! (RBNAG’07 in Grimstad Nov. 3th.) golubj (1275), Sunnyvale, California, USA Nov 6, 2007 Bottle. Amber pour with a thin white head. Aroma of citrus, pineapple, and some caramel malt. A good amount of malt flavor up front with grapefruit, lemon peel and some grassy bitterness in the finish. Hop resin clings to the palate. This is a pretty tasty beer, and it gets better as you drink it.
