Ambrée foncée petit collet. Arome d’houblon sucré pas trop intense, avec des notes plaisants de fruits du vergés. Goût d’houblon sucré, très fruité, finission amère agréable. Very hazy orange-amber with a big stable off-white head. Aroma of grapefruity hops and hints of pine. Bitter hoppy flavor with some resinous notes, a bit of grapefruit, light malty sweetness and hints of alcohol. Medium-bodied. Quite good. jasonp (1514), Sterling/Dulles, Virginia, USA

Pours a dark, somewhat hazy amber with a huge beige head. Nose is very fresh, piney and green (in a good way). The flavor is very bold and flavorful; huge notes of pine up front, then citrus (grapefruit, orange), mango, vanilla, peach and apricot with a huge caramel malt backbone. Pleasantly sweet with a bold yet very smooth bitterness level. Full, round and creamy on the palate with moderate carbonation. Unbelievably great head retention and lots of lacing. Great stuff. My favorite Weyerbacher beer so far.
>Re-rate, now from a 12 oz bottle. Differences are that the appearance looks very clear and filtered. Seems a little sweeter than before. Still has that ridiculous juicy hoppiness. The carbonation is medium with a nice full body.< JMFG (1514), Florida, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 29, 2007 12 oz bottle in trade from footbalm. Poured thickly into glass, yielding a rich orange concoction with a very white, thick head which sat down after a few minutes. Moderately pungent floral and lemony hop aroma. Sharp, resiny, aggressive hop bite with a very long, lingering grapefruit finish, as if I had just consumed a grapefruit. No malt notes here at all, as some like it. An interesting DIPA, just not sure it’s one I’d keep coming back to. redlight (1509), Winter Park, Florida, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 2, 2007 12 oz bottle. Poured a reddish/orangey/amber with an average off white foamy head. Initial aroma is rather nice with strong piney hops and a slight caramel malt balance but then as it warms the 9% alcohol becomes very apparent. Flavor is similiar to the the aroma and starts off nicely but as it warms the alcohol becomes rather dominant. The alcohol in this one was far to obvious for my taste and needs to be toned down or more hidden. Strykzone (1505), Wood River, Illinois, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Sep 17, 2008 Thanks Daknole. A very cloudy brown / amber colored beer with an off white head that quickly forms a ring. Aroma is very sweet and very fruity. Some caramel as well. Flavor jumps up and down and screams "I am hops!" Grapefruit and pine but with a full caramel malt profile. A very aggressive flavor and it has to be the best tasting double IPA I have had. Just delicious (and I am not a hophead). Big, bold, ballsy, brash. Late in the glass some nice dark fruit shows up. That was unexpected. Alcohol isn’t tasted but provides warming and my liver is not happy with me. I can get a transplant, give me another one of these!
