| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 22, 2006 Medium at best floraly aroma, just a touch of malt in the background, orange amber color, whoa there it is, a completely satisfying full display of the simcoe hop fruity tangy hoppiness dominates the taste, a deep and wide bitterness finishes it off,the hop is so dominating the malt hardly has a chance, seems more like a big ass IPA then an Imperial. All these great hop brews popping up ,and yet this one is unique enough to be special Stine (1381), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 27, 2007 Thick, firey blonde pour for a rich and substantial appearance. Leafy orange blossoms foremost on the nose. Notes of earthy toffee, candied almonds and green spices. Flavor is packed with dynamics. A powerful burst of pungent garlic at first never quite gives way, but mingles tensely with peaches, citrus candies and a light smoke wisp of bourbon. Orange zest and vegetation after swallowing. Palate is quite weighty with subdued carbonation barely breaching a thick wheat grass puree. Retains a streak of pleasantry amidst its aggressiveness. Thanks Luis! | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 18, 2006 Pours a deep amber color with a huge rocky off white head. I pick up a distinctive malt presence that I’m starting to think is a house characteristic of all Weyerbacher beers. Heavy resiny hop notes with a splash of grapefruit. Strong malt backbone. Alcohol is a little too harsh in the finish and the mouthfeel is a little oily. This one starts out extremely promising but ends up being simply above average. | 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Aug 21, 2008 Pours an attractive opaque mahogany with a two finger thick, frothy cream colored head. The nose is rich with floral and pineapple hops. The flavor is perfectly supported by the nose, as sweetness from the malt leads the way, followed by a nice, dry, subtle bitter mid to finish. Creamy on the palate. Excellent balance in this awesome IIPA. JCapriotti (1378), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA

Very fresh and fruity/juicy hops with flowers and good malt. If this is what Simcoe tastes like, I like them a lot. Drank more than rated. Darn. pantanap (1375), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 2, 2007 bomber....this one has been sitting in the fridge for awhile and may not have been the most frest....appearance: hazy orange brown that pouted with a medium ivory head....aroma: tons of malt with a sundued fresh/light citrus profile. i was expecting a little more of the hops to shine through but they may have already begun to fade....taste: sweet maple malt, very smooth, with only a slight piney bitter finish in the end which lingers awhile in the mooth long after taking the sip....pretty enjoyable but i would like to try a fresh sample to get its full effect diabel (1372), Aarschot, Belgium

Off-white creamy head. Good lace. Aroma of pears, caramel, fruits, hops, ... Moderately bitter, lightly sweet initial flavour. Heavily bitter to the end. Somewhat fruity in the beginning, but the bitterness takes totally over to the end. JFGrind (1361), Glenside, Pennsylvania, USA
