3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Boulder Strong Ale Fest 2007. Light copper, medium white head with good retention. Aroma is big juicy hops, simcoe I guess. Light funkiness. Taste is thick and bitter, underlying leafiness. Light grapefruit. Solid sweet hops, not overdone. Finish is sweet, simple. Solid brewski.

Dark amber color with lots of floaters, clearly unfiltered. Nose is malts and faint citrus. Taste is malts, lots of sweetness, some citrus, and maybe a little very faint mango. This one is very similar to Sierra Nevada Hoptinum in look, nose, and taste. Not my favorite dipa.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
12oz bottle. Pours orangish amber with off-white head. Aroma is Malt, Mango and papaya. Taste is sweet malty citrus pine and alcohol up front with a fruity mango/papaya alcohol warmth finish. Pretty good but a little too malty for my personal preferences.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A very nice IPA, feel balanced and bitter. Has a pretty great piney aroma, hints of citrus in the aftertaste. Tried at the Old Mattress Warehouse after Black Sabbath with Brian and Jess in 2016.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 oz bottle. The pour is a deep ruby, mostly clear, with a thin coat of off white head and a little trace of soapy lace. The aroma is surprisingly bland. There is a little tropical fruit, and a hint of bitter resin, but it's just bland. Light malts on the back end. I'm believing this isn't going to be that great. The flavor is a little bitter up front with some resin, but it falls flat after that. A little maltiness pops up on the back end and it finishes a little sweet. It's pretty much bitter water up front and then malt water on the finish. It's pretty disappointing. The mouth feel is light and watery with minimal carbonation and a lingering bitterness that finishes a little sweet and off. No bueno.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle at home while visiting Jacksonville. Pours a hazy pale brown/dark gold with a slightly off white head. Aroma is wet hop dankness with caramel and lemon. Medium body, medium carbonation. Piney resin, lemon, grapefruit, light trop stuff, wood, very light soapiness, a little toast... Nicely bitter for a dipa. Good.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft pour at Brotherhood of Thieves, Nantucket MA. Appearance is a hazy orange amber with a nice white head. Aroma is fruit, tangerines, grapefruit, caramel malt, and resin. Taste is very good, well balanced, fruits of orange, grapefruit, resin. Palate is full and sticky, good alcohol feel. Overall, its very easy to drink and quite potent. Two of these and you’d be doing real well.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Pours a murky, sediment-heavy copper with a thick tan head. Aroma is sweet caramel and piney, bitter citrus hops. Flavor follows suit, with a strong semi-sweet malt foundation and plenty of piney hops. Pleasant, mild booziness. Solid, but I suspect it may have been better fresher - I noticed after purchase that it was bottled in April and consumed in December. Come on Oade’s, take the old shit off the shelf.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
This double IPA poured a nice caramel colour with a huge light tan head. Scents include ripe fruit, malt, butane? and citrus. First swig was smooth and creamy. Malty smoothness with lots of hop on a nice malty base. A little caramel in there too... Finish is bitter with hops lingering...

Bottle from cantina della birra. Nice aroma and flavor of simcoe: piney resin and citrus. Well balanced double/imperial IPA
