Commercial Description:
Fast on the heels of our fantasticly reformulated Hops Infusion, our brewers have picked up the gauntlet and brewed a Double IPA using exclusively Simcoe(R) Hops! This west coast Hops was created in 2000 by Select Botanicals, Inc. and carries a fantastic flavor profile abounding with citrusy-grapefruit, piney, resiny notes that pushes this Double IPA over the top. 9.0% ABV in the brew gives it a nice malt foundation as well. Draft and bottles, 12 oz. in PA, 22 oz. out of state (as we have no 6-packs),

Citrus nose, light amber body, light malts, and a potent grapefruit and pine flavor. Very nice.

12 oz bottle. Aroma of grapefruit citrus. Strong aroma. Reddish amber color with a decent beige head. Medium body with creamy carbonation. Flavor is a lot of grapefruit hop, but there is detectable caramel sweetness. The finish is more piney than grapefruit, and it is not dry. It’s truly balanced. That’s so rare. This is an exceptionally tasty ale.

There’s a lot going on with this offering from Weyerbacher for only $4USD for a double-duece bottle. Thick foamy head, copper body and a strong botanical aroma. The bitterness from the Simcoe hops is strong, well blended with malts to your palate will effortlessly enjoy. Weyerbacher constructs a winner of a 2XIPA that is perfect for summer consumption.

thanks to pineypower for this one. Pours an opaque amber with a thick, dirty white head. The flavor is upfront dry hoppy with a clean finish. The alcohol is completely hidden and this is dangerously quaffable.

Cole’sIPA Fest. The aroma of west coast hops is incredible, deep orange, a small custard head. Flavour is absolutely orange, pinecones, some fabulous malt underpinning this bad boy. Full bodied, very well balanced, extra bitter. Marvellous!

12 oz. bottle. Deep murky orange color with a thick, creamy tan colored head and sticky lace. Strong resiny hop nose with toffee sweetness and a little pepper. Mouthfeel is very creamy, bordering on syrupy. This is really hot on the tongue, with tons of sharp hop resin, pine and candied grapefruit rind. Lots of toffee and caramel sweetness under the hop assault. This is a full flavored beer, and I wish I could get the 12 oz. in Ohio as it is a more appropriate serving size.

Poured a hazed orange-amber color with a small off-white head. Orange and piney hop aroma. Malty underneath. The flavor starts with hops and bitterness pretty quickly. The bitterness lasts for a long time. Big hops on the flavor with a good amount of malt to back it up. Medium to full bodied. Pretty tasty.

Tallahassee, Fl. - Liquor Loft - 12 oz bottle. Sparkling medium to dark copper pour with a sticky, but thin white head that leaves decent lacing. Fresh, potent sprucey aroma with hints of pepper. Strong grapefruit citrus-forward flavor as expected but balanced well with a caramel like maltiness. Hints of pepper as well, with some hints of maple syrup and nectarines in the finish. Thickish mouthfeel - a bit on the stinging side - but should be expected with the strong ABV. Very well done.
