To honor 14 years of making craft beer we decided to brew a wheat wine. This unfiltered brew is made with over 50% wheat to give it a distinctly spicy character. Enjoy it now, or if you have the patience, give it some time in your cellar. When you are ready, expect to find notes of tart wheat and honey with crisp bitterness and carbonation. Recipe by Head Brewer Chris Wilson and Brewer Jeff Musselman.

Rating from 11/22/2010.....Red amber color with some off white beige foam....looks real good in the glass....sweet malt cherries and some alcohol on the sniff...I get honey too...Refreshing yet solid--Light bready rye taste mingled with a distinct bitterness and alcohol burst--the honey and cherries don’t show up as strong as in the aroma for sure--the bitterness is overpowering in the finish---as it sits a nice bright tart fruit comes through like a cherry/cranberry with orange as well--good, but I need to age one and return to it

"Kinger (who supplied my beer) pretty much hit the nail on the head with this one. more time may mellow things out a bit. as it is, it’s a little hot and overly sweet. there are some positives, though, and it has potential for aging. like a sweeter, stronger bavarian hefe. less clove, more citrusy hops, but pretty sweet...almost cloying but not quite. the warming effect is nice, maybe a touch overdone. splitting this would have left a better impression...a full bottle was too much at the end of the night."

Bottle opened May 2014. Orange pour with a white head. Aroma has a lot of sweet alcohol with some oranges and wheat thrown in. The flavor has some caramel malt as well as some wheat and alcohol. The beer is oxidized a bit but I think it doesn’t detract too much from the flavor. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Probably past its prime, but not drinking badly at this point.

Bottle split with Ray Ray. Pours murky amber with no head. Notes of caramel, banana, dried fruit. Medium to full body, warming alcohol presence. This is probably past its prime at this point

6/26/2010. From bottle. Deep amber color with a white head. Caramel, sugar, spice, light fruit and boozy aromas. Sweet caramel flavors, but somewhat lacking balance.

Thanks Clint A: pours burnt caramel, central opacity bordered with golden hues. No indications of carbonation. Looks like Tomme mighta helped with this one... S: Cool. Smells like Bananas Foster and some nougat. Intriguing. T: Cola, flat cola flavor. Some slight weed ash, mixed with more hints of banana. After taste is unconventionally infantile: as in, reminds me of diapers out of the package. M: Nearly flat and relatively thick feeling. Sticky and I try not to get much on my lips as the residual sugars are certainly daunting. O: I don’t really care for this. The nose is awesome, but the flavor is a letdown. Mouthfeel is also very poor. Serving type: bottle 12-07-2011

12oz bottle from who knows where. Been siting in a trunk for a few years. Hazy brown pour with a thin off-white. Aroma is brown sugar, bread and spice. Tastes are sweet sugary, honey, roasted malts, citrus, spices. Boozy. Lots happening, but not my bag - too sweet.

Honey and rum aroma. Lightly wheaty taste with brown sugar with brandy aftertaste. Fairly full bodied as well.
