Floral organic feel reverberates but the bitterness isn’t too well balanced with a doughy aftertaste coming through. This IPA has that coppery tea quality with bitter grapefruit spikiness. I was impressed by the first bottle but I think the last beer I rated blew my palate away. Medium palate. This is definitely worth the $43 case asking price. Thanks Afterexile for sharing.

Bottle 12 oz. Aroma is a crisp hop and bread. Poured a hazy amberish with a cream off white head. Flavor is predominantly floral hop and grassy. Palate is okay but a little lingering hop funk is there. Overall, not bad.

Cloudy amber color with nice tan head that hold, lacing and hops aroms. Big dry hop flavor with grass and medicinal notes. Full flavor with quick clean finish. Not much lingering but really nice.

Bottle from Capone’s. Pours hazy deep copper with 2-finger creamy off-white head. Nose is bready malt, florals, funky yeasty, hoppy, with a Belgian slant. Tastes bready malty, with floral hoppy, funky, and rock syrupy notes. As it warms, more floral and Belgian funky hoppy notes come through. Interesting, but not elite.

Poured a clear amber color with a small, off white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of pine, floral hops, caramel malts, toast, and citrus. Taste of more pine, some soap, caramel, toasted dough, toffee malts, citrus fruits, and a light grapefruit, dry hoppiness in the finish.

11th rating of this brew. 12oz bonus from hopdog. Cheapdark really doesn’t know what a harvest is, :) Wow didn’t realize this was so new. Pours orange with a bright white head. Nose is sweet with a lot of big hoppy citrus notes. Taste is a little off, its got some bite but its a bit too much bitterness and not enough balance for me.

bottle- pours golden red, with little grey head. nose is caramel, and not as gloriously hoppy as i had wished. taste is similiar. really malty, and sweet, and not really the beast i thought it would or could be.it has a really clean hoppy finish. too sweet to be sessionable, and not hoppy enough. oh well.

Don’t you think the name harvest ale is misleading for an IPA? I bought this thinking it was an O’fest. Well, if I would have had my glasses on and would have seen the fine print; brewed with fresh hops. O’fest and hop aroma with a tinge of slag. Lighter iced tea color, more clear brown than yellow. Taste is oppresive hop bitterness yet there is some marzen in there I think. Well, yes, IPA hoppy bordering on the country of IIPA. Bitter lingering grapefruit rind or piney turpentine finish. On style, go for it IPA lovers. At times it seems to have hints of horse manure in there, but of course in a good beery way. Too much for this lager lovers taste buds. Weyerbacher, always over the top.

Pours a translucent copper with golden higlights and a medium creamy/bubbly white head that left sticky lacing. Aroma of orange, floral, grassy fresh hops, some sweet caramel and bready. Hops are there in the aroma but not as up front as I would have expected. Flavor of grapefruit, pine, citrus, earthy, breast and some caramel malt. Hop bitterness is up front and lingers, body a little thin.

Bottle. Clear amber/ orange with a medium to large head. Aroma of earth, caramel with some flowery and grassy hops with just a hint of pine. Medium to light bodied. Distinctly soapy finish. This is really one of the least exciting harvest beers I’ve tasted, which is pretty surprising considering how much of a roll I considered this brewery to be on lately.
