Clear golden pour with an active head and small bubbles. Smells fresh and hoppy, with a honeyed malt and simcoe. Hops up front and lots of bitterness. Dry and bitter finish. Full and balanced palate, with a sharp, slightly sticky hop emphasis.

Bottle, courtesy keepersj12. Poured an amber colour with a medium beige head. Aroma had notes of leafy hop, ripe summer fruits and caramel malt. Flavour slightly sweet with notes of grassy hop, citrus and malt, leading to a gently lingering bitter finish. Very drinkable.

Bottle from Wine and Beer Westpark on 01/03/2010. Clear amber body with a medium frothy off-white head. Sweet floral and light citrus hop aroma on a pale malt background. Sweet floral and citrus hop flavor, light pale malt in the background. Medium full body with moderate carbonation.

12 oz bottle. Pours a beautiful dark copper body with a two finger frothy off-white head that had great retention and left lots of sticky lacing. Nice fresh citursy aroma with some caramel malt below. Little bit of alcohol noticeable. Aggressively bitter and citrusy with great grapefruit character and a sticky resiny finish. The malt provides a nice sturdy backbone. Clingy resiny mouth feel with nice soft carbonation that doesn’t distract yet cuts the thick body well. A really nice juicy IPA.

This is produced in September. When I rated this in December there was little to no hop flavor and aroma left. Dominant flavor is black tea. Some hop bitterness, some grassy flavor. Drain pour. Don’t waste your time unless you get it fresh off the line.

Bottle, pours a clear orange amber with fluffy white tan head. Aroma, lemon herbal tea. When i think of harvest ale i think of big flavors and crisp hops. I’m not getting this in this beer. Soft palate herbal flavors, very small thin bodied.

12oz Bottle: Nice amber hue w/ a soapy biege head. Found hops right away in the aroma, after that alot of sweet malts. Malts play up front-mid palate w/ hops taking over thereafter leaving their bitter/grapefruity statemant in the finish. Not a bad beer by any means, but there is something off balance. Needs to be a little smoother or a little less harsh...I haven’t decided if the glass is half full or half empty here.

12oz bottle: Pours to a clear medium amber body with a small off-white head. Aroma is sweet apples, light malt, small amount of cinnamon-like spice (but this is very mild), some light berry-type scent, but is definitely distinctly lacking hops in the nose. Taste is sweet light malt, quickly followed by some nice ripe grapefruit/citrus hops bitterness on the tongue, a bit of cereal flavor. As it warms the hops flavors come out much more, suggesting a bit of noble hops (if these are indeed grown locally). Finish is bitter spicy/earthy hops. Medium bodied, medium carbonated, and slightly too sweet for an IPA.
