Tastes herbal, earthy, cereal. Herbal, sandy and earthy finish. Nice level of bitterness, there. Somewhat full bodied, slightly sticky and resinous mouthfeel. Refreshing, bitter ale. Liked it.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 glennmastrange (1884) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - DEC 15, 2012
Bottle. Moderate malt and hop notes of roasted, caramel, orange and flowers like lavender. Head is small, frothy, off-white with fair lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is hazy medium, amber/orange. Flavor starts slightly sweet and moderately acidic, then finishes lightly acidic and bitter. Palate is medium, oily with a lively carbonation. One of the better beers I’ve had with the word "Harvest" in the name, a nice example of an IPA.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 DiarmaidBHK (2272) - Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 22, 2012
Bottle from total wine Sterling. Pours the color of burnished apricot with a thick layer of white foam that leaves a fair amount of lacing. A bit of floral on the nose. Fairly nondescript on the tongue but with some nice bitterness on the finish. Solid but weyerbacher isn’t exactly known for their IPA’s.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Scrapersnbeer (977) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - MAR 27, 2012
A very hoppy smelling beer with notes old ale and medicinal cabinets. Dark for-an-india copper with fine suspension. Last winter I had this and dodn’t realize it was an IPA. That being said, this beer is decidedly bitter, but has a malt backbone that gives it a straight pale ale’s character. Almost a merger with the marzen style, though clearly not a lager. Interesting if not the brewer’s greatest hit.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 zgaier (692) - Coral Springs, Florida, USA - MAR 19, 2012
Pours a golden orange with a beige head and aroma of fresh hops and citrus. Taste is sweet, of hops, malts, fruits, and citrus with a modestly bitter and long finish. Nice, solid, drinkable IPA.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 jjgmd (732) - Coral Springs, Florida, USA - MAR 19, 2012
Pours an orange golden color. Smell is all hops with a full orchestration of
hops. Taste is bitter but on the lighter side with no complexity. Flavor is citrusy with a moderately long finish. Your slightly than better average IPA. Quaff Score 6 / 10
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 Syzzer (449) - Oregon, USA - MAR 6, 2012
Fairly plain beer. Nothing exciting. Faint hops. This beer is on par with other mediocre pale ales
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 drunkenpolack (319) - Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA - FEB 1, 2012
This Harvest Ale pours a dark orange color with a small white head. Good retention and minimal lacing. Smell on this one was decent with more of a sweet malty aroma coming out instead of a huge burst of hops. Aromas of citrus and some floral hops. Pretty balanced with the malt winning out though.
Same thing here. Didn’t wow me at all. Sweet malt and caramel hit the palette first. Followed by slight juicy hops. Citrus, floral, and slight grassy hops. Good amount of bitterness though.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied and slightly dry.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 AWISLguy (665) - Wisconsin, USA - DEC 12, 2011
Bottle from Discount Liquors. Pours orange brown with no head - no carbonation. Aroma has a lot of pine, some citrus fruit and some toffee. Taste brings sweet caramel malt, some grapefruity citrus and some woody pine plus pineapple. A bit syrupy but finishes shorter than expected. Bitter and sweet to the end. Not the more extreme "harvest"ish that the style typically has, but not a bad brew.
