dchmela (1406), Orlando, Florida, USA Dec 4, 2008 Deep thick black pourwith a thik off white head. Big thick mouthfeel. Chocolate malt, oak and vanilla aroma. Thick chocolate taste with lots of oak vanilla and bourbon hints. Nice chocolate finish with just a bite of alcohol. Tasty nqualls (1429), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Nov 29, 2008 Bottle. Poured black with a two finger brown head. Aroma of oak and chocolate. Flavor was oak and vanilla, with a slight roasty finish. Full bodied with soft carbonation and a creamy mouthfeel. Very good beer. foundmd (163), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Nov 20, 2008 22oz bottle. Pours black with a small brown head. Nice oak aroma with a very smooth taste of chocolate and wood. Not a palette crusher like some Imperial’s. Good stuff, but could use a bit more depth and complexities. keepersj12 (774), Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA Oct 28, 2008 Dark brown almost black with a nice tan head. Aroma of dried fruits and oak is very nice. Flavor starts sweet and ends with some hop bitterness. Nice dry finish. Very good. lemasney (398), Trenton, New Jersey, USA Oct 24, 2008 Style and Glass: Imperial Stout; Snifter

Purchased at: Jack’s Wine Sense, Ewing, NJ for $4.99
Aroma: nice, wonderful, permeating, oak, liquor, tannins, rose, whiskey. 10 out of 10.
Visuals: medium high design, black, oily, thick tan head, great, sticky lace. 5 out of 5.
Taste: expertly balanced, heavy malt, heavy hops, heavy strength, heavy craft. 10 out of 10.
Palate: high quality, sandy texture, long chocolate finish. 5 out of 5.
Overall: It’s almost a crime for me to have beer this good for this price. This is a fantastic, affordable, high quality treat, I’ll have it again for sure, a new favorite, high value, expertly crafted. About the only thing I don’t like about the whole experience is the cheesy graphic on the label. 20 out of 20. doubleipa (224), Georgia, USA Oct 23, 2008 Had this on tap, but can’t remember where. Appearance: small, dark-brown head that completely vanished. Aroma: chocolate, oak, charcoal, burnt coffee. Creamy mouthfeel, soft, no hint of alcohol. very smooth jvmiller (532), Bel Air, Maryland, USA Oct 10, 2008 Very astringent/rubbing alcohol presence, perhaps from the oak aging. Pretty thin bodied for a impy, not bad flavors, but overall this one was nothing to write home about. mwelsh13 (483), Maryland, USA Oct 8, 2008 12 oz draft at Frsico Grille poured deep brown almost black.. Light tan head with a great roasted and oak aroma. Nice rich body but the alcohol was very present. Should age some before consuming.
