Nice roasted malt and chocolate aroma hiding under some oak and vanilla. Nice oak and vanilla entry that gives way to a nice roasted chocolate flavor. Real nice, I can’t wait to try the older bottle. Thanks to Ryan. 06-07 rating: 7-4-8-3=3.7
05-06 bottle from drewbeerme. Quite a difference between these releases. This one was much more mellow on the bourbon spice and contained strong vanilla in the aroma and flavor. Chocolate roastiness still dominates the finish, but it is more mellow and works better in conjunction with the barrel characteristics. Very nice. Thanks Drew, this was a good surprise. 05-06 Rating: 8-4-8-3-16=3.9 bigbobdog (36), USA
