| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 7, 2007 bottle. Pours dark with a tannish head. Aroma is somewhat alcoholish, as is the taste. An unpopular opinion but i think the alcohol may overpower the rest (which is chocolate, malt, etc) Jvittorio4187 (255), Boardman, Ohio, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Mar 6, 2007 Pours black awesome thick brown head. Vanilla, milk chocolate, roasted malts, oak and a touch of bourbon all come through very well. The mouthfeel is extremely creamy and silky smooth probably the creamiest imperial stout I’ve ever had. Almost an imperial sweet stout which is a good idea. I’ll buy this again many times. ogglethorp (887), Ohio, USA

Aroma is roasted malts, caramel, chocolate, bourbon. Flavor is roasted malts, chocolate, oak, bourbon, vanilla, some coffee. Palate is full bodied, lightly carbonated, bitter-sweet finsh. IMO this is really good, just coming shy of great. Very enjoyable. natejgood (189), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 2, 2007 This beer pours as dark as I’ve ever seen and has a thick dark head to match. However, instead of looking black like many dark beers it is more of a rich, deep, dark, thick, brown. The head is thick and will stick around for a while. This beer has a very malty aroma with hints of roasty coffee. The beer has a sweet malty flavor to match its smell, but has a slightly bitter aftertaste. The beer has a medium body, with a creamy texture, and a lively fiz. While this beers appearance is probably its best feature, it is a pretty solid drinking beer as well. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a strong imperial stout in a big bottle. rocbyter (910), Waterbury, Connecticut, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Mar 1, 2007 Sents of oak and something close to windex, in a good way. Dark reddish brown close with a brown head. Starts slighly sweet finishing with a oaky scotch bite that lingers. DrD (61), Lakewood, Ohio, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Feb 28, 2007 I was really surprised by how thin this beer is; though it’s smooth, the palate isn’t anything to get randy over...and it’s not going to warm you up on a cold winter night...but man oh man is the flavor a drool-fest...caramel, smoke, oak, vanilla, cotton candy, pipe tobacco, butter brittle, fresh Blue Mountain coffee, rainwater trickling through a dense redwood forest, Sugar Daddy...it’s all there...just roll it on your tongue before you slide it down.... | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 26, 2007 Bottle. Pours a rich black color with a medium sized tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate and coffee. The alcohol is nicely hidden in the woody, earthy taste. The flavor of vanilla and brandy race across my tongue as a hint of hops come in on the finish. Smooth and well balanced. Over all a good barrel aged stout.
