smjohnst (202), , Pennsylvania, USA Sep 1, 2008 Had an extreme aroma of hops to it. You can smell atleast four different hops in here. The cascade hops are a little bit overpowering in the flavor but it has a much sweeter flavor than I thought it would. elihapa (1033), Honolulu, California, USA Sep 1, 2008 Bottle. Pours a dark orange color, with a sizeable cream head. Nice floral bouquet, with some nice lemon-lime citrus aroma. Palate is smooth, with light carbonation. Not too bitter, not too sweet flavor, a nice mixture of malt and nice bitter hops. Finish is really well balanced, the bitter doesn’t override, allowing the nice flowery notes to come through, along with some soda bread flavor. My bottle had a little bit of odd sour biscuit flavor that I think can be attributed to an old bottle. Overall, this is a quite solid brew. BigMilly8 (374), Holiday, Florida, USA Aug 30, 2008 From bottle : Pours a very clear copper color, sweet teaish, with a foamy finger of head, that dies down to a bubbly thin layer. Aroma is very strong piney hops, with a little malt backdrop. Taste is quite strong as well, very sharp hop flavor, not much malt. It is a little one sided in my opinion, needs better balance. Citrus hop finish. Has a very tart palate, and that lingers for awhile. A little below average i think. afireinside96 (807), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 28, 2008 12oz bottle served in a shaker glass. Pours amber with a thin head. Smells of delicate florals, pine, and caramel. More caramel malt flavor than I was expecting, balances nicely with some pine and citrus. Full body, very smooth, light lingering bitterness. A good gateway IPA for people who are intimidated by hops. NomDeBeer (398), Maryland, USA Aug 27, 2008 Grassy, earthy hop flavors and aromas dominate, some citrus. A well-balanced IPA that is smooth and very drinkable. greenleaf (90), Florida, USA Aug 26, 2008 bottle 12 oz. Pours a clear amber with a small white lacing head. Nose is hoppy, namely cascade. Taste is citrus, undoubtedly cascade in the mix with a sublte malty flavor. Rather flat on the palate, but makes for smooth drinking. BeerandBlues2 (3201), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Aug 25, 2008 12-oz bottle received via trade with dchmela. Pours clear amber with an average, frothy, off-white head, mostly lasting with good lacing. Aroma is average malt (grain, bread, cereal), heavy hops (pine, citrus, floral, fruity), average yeast (sweat, dough) with notes of apple, pear, and wood. Medium bodied, sticky texture, lively carbonation, and a bitter finish. Long duration, light sweetness, heavy acidity and bitterness. daknole (2805), Plantation, Florida, USA Aug 24, 2008 bottle from Pembroke Pines total wine. Nice copperish/amber color wtih a smallish off white head. Aroma is hoppy...jiucy and herbal hops. Taste is pretty hop laden with some severe bitterness on the finish. Not bad, not amazing.
