| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 13, 2008 this is a winner. There is definite hops but they are not bitter nor is it overpowering. IT has a perfect balance of strong hop flavor with nice malts to counter-act it. Winner! nick76 (2646), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 13, 2008 The aroma is very hoppy as advertised. It’s citrus like with pineapple There is also some some sweet malt in there but hops is what this is all about. The appearance is amber orange with an average head. The flavor is like the aroma but not overpowering with hops. The palate is smooth. Overall it’s a winner. RblWthACoz (963), Brooklyn, New York, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 12, 2008 Pours a slightly hazed amber with a nice creme head that falls rather quickly. Sticky sweet apricot toned floral piney hops. Flavor is sweet with a bitter tone. Flavor leans more towards the sweet side. Seems to lack a bit of balance. Still fairly nice though. Feel is good. This is pretty easy to drink, but it just rests a bit too far on the fruity side for me to appreciate it as much as other American IPAs. Still nice though. pforei (338), USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Feb 12, 2008 Amber orange color with good head that risees above the glass without spilling. Great citrus pine and floral/earthy hoppy aroma with a good amount of bread/caramel malt. Taste is more towards the sweet citrus and pine hops. Bitter finish. after4ever (2711), Brier, Washington, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Feb 11, 2008 12-oz. Cloudy medium amber and some brown highlights. Bright white head--thin film but very visible. Sharp tangy tart overripe citrus nose. Medium, sharply fizzy body. Caramel and pepper on the mid-palate. Long peppery finish. Just ok. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 10, 2008 Oct. 2006 - Amber pour, moderate head and lacing. Grapefruit is all over the aroma and the flavor. Very hoppy, but also a lot of sweetness (a honeyish/alcohol sweetness). Not much maltiness detectable. Good beer, not great. blklab2007 (955), Connecticut, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Feb 4, 2008 bottle poured a nice amber in color with light carbination and a thick white one finger head. aroma has hops galore, citrus, fresh flower, sweet malt, and clover. mouth feel is medium with some thickness. flavor hits with hops a plenty, citrus, some biting spice, and a good dose of caramel malt to hold it all together. has some thickness to it with citrus coming through as it warms. nice drinking and easy to put away.
