Pours a nice bronze amber with an off-white one-finger head and leaves a nice lacing. Extremely aromatic. Huge sweet hoppyness (amarillo?), orange notes, ginger cookie background. The flavor is great as well. Many times with IPA style brews the aroma gets your hopes up and the flavor dissappoints you; not with this one. Creamy and velvety mouthfeel. Some spicy, herbal flavors, with a hint of soapyness. Plenty of pine needles. There’s a perfect amount of sticky, sweet, chewy malts to balance this quality IPA. Great drinkability, great stuff! jefcon (998), Arlington, Virginia, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 28, 2007 Draft. Good head and lacing. Nice dusky golden orange. Great hop aroma and perfume. More fruit in the flavor profile. Good weight. Not puckeringly bitter because it is so well balanced, but heaps on the IBUs. Long and a little soapy on the finish. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 26, 2007 In many ways this is as solid an IPA as you could ask for. Big golden body with a citrus profile in the flavor. A passable malt presence gives it a smooth, creamy finish. But somehow it doesn’t amount to anything particularly memorable (especially given that it’s about 10 bucks a sixer). Very solid and drinkable though. joss (3650), Garching b. München, Germany

Cloudy orange brown, golden creamy head. Citric, a bit fizzlestick orange, earthy finish. medium to light body. Clay aftertaste. elektronikfagteknikerlærling (892), kbh, Denmark

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Feb 11, 2007 Wonderfully sticky sweet hoppy goodness. It’s not beer so much as it is hop flavour. Very little malt, alcohol, or yeast present - just basically floral citrus pine aromas and flavours. detroiter (958), Euphoria, Minnesota, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 11, 2007 Pours a clear copper color, with a couple inches of rocky beige foam. Good head retention, dismal lacing. Hoppy aroma without much character.
Initially a malty flavor with lots of toffee and biscuit. Hopes kick in shortly thereafter and linger into the finish. Good bitterness, good balance with the malt, but again no hop character - just generic hop bitterness. Medium body, good carbonation, fairly smooth and refreshing taffurs888 (121), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Feb 10, 2007 Very refreshing for an IPA. Has a stiff taste that is very hoppy. Definetly a nice citrus after taste.
