Commercial Description:
Hops Infusion exhibits deep malt characteristics- this beer has undeniable character and body. Glowing a deep amber color, Hops Infusion is brewed with seven types of hops. The result is unmistakable-- hop-heavenly flavor with earthy, spicy, sharp citrus notes. Hops Infusion has four times the dry-hopping as our already hoppy IPA.

Happen to be drinking this as I’m entering some backlog, so it shall be #1300! Whoo! Aroma of floral hops, honey, earth, fresh bread, some orange-red fruit. Flavor balanced between bitter hops and the bready malt. Pretty tasty, but pales in comparison to the Alpha King I just had and perhaps is suffering for it in this rating.

Bottle courtesy of birdiebeagle. Pours a clear amber orange color. Thin white head that dissipates quickly. Weak aroma of caramel malt and earthy hops. Flavor is a little on the sticky sweet side with some spicy hops in the finish. Moderately dry mouthfeel. Respectable IPA, but nothing really remarkable.

Tried a 12oz bottle into a pint glass while visiting Florida. More aromatic than a pale ale but not as bitter or flavorful as an IPA.

Bottle from Chevy Chase Wine & Liquors in DC. Slightly hazy amber color with a white head and good lacing. Aroma mostly piney, earthy hops with a little bit of malt. Flavor dominated by hops, very earthy and piney, with caramel malt and a hint of citrus. Palate medium with some hop stickiness. Pretty good and well balanced IPA overall.

2009 Bottle - Thanks ygtbsm94! - Pours lt amber with a large lt tan head...aorma is subtle hop florals, light pine and some dark malt...flavour is suprisingly malty up front with some pine bitterness that comes in mid palate, leaving a lingering resinous bitterness...good carbonation and nice lacing...not too much depth, but an easy drinking IPA...

Bottled. Poured clear medium orange with an easily-resuscitated ap of white head. The aroma picked up juicy floral, citrus, and some resiny darker hoppage over a sweet caramel base.. only moderately assertive and quite well-balanced. The flavor was along the same lines.. sweet caramel supporting resiny pine, grapefruit, and spicy floral bitterness, which really built all the way through the aftertaste.. pleasant sweet and spicy play on the finish. Medium-bodied with rolling carbonation that was just decently balanced against the bitter edges.. overall hoppage was less than expected.. refreshing and somewhat simple IPA.

12 oz. bottle. Pours slightly hazy orange amber with a modest white head. Aroma of sweet malts and lots of spicy, citrusy hops. Flavor is balanced but on the dry side; with a good malt backbone and tart citrus hops but surprisingly not overly hopped. Medium bodied, with moderate prickly carbonation. Solid IPA, but not particularly noteworthy.
