JB175 (1654), Bucks County, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 16, 2006 Updated: Oct 15, 2006Can definately taste the multiple hops. Not overwhelming, but enjoyable. Supposedly they changed this beer last year and I think that would explain what I consider to be an under-rating of this beer. Kevin (1917), Colorado, USA Jul 13, 2006 Bottle from xray.
Light brown body that looks gritty with an almost tan head that settles for being a yellow white and is thick and puffy, but shrinks rather quickly. Grass and caramel aroma, with the emphasis on the malt aroma and the hops playing in the background. Rusty malt flavor that is like dirty cotton candy. The bitterness is hardly noticeable. Finish is a bit of cardboard rough grain husk flavors and some light pine resin. I’ll have to check with Adam to see if this could be an old bottle.

themadmumis (344), Westminster, Maryland, USA Jul 12, 2006 I concur with the one dimensional flavor. Over-bearing with the hop aspect, that is about all the brew brings to the table (which may not be a bad thing for some). Strong citrus flavor reminds me of DuClaw’s Venom, however with a lighter body. A standard IPA. Boutip (2333), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Jul 7, 2006 Bottle: Poured a deep orangey amber color ale with a huge off-white foamy head with particularly good retention. Aroma of citrus hops is quite powerful. Taste is also dominated by the citrus hops which are quite good but malt seems a bit too discreet and out of balance. A bit too one-dimensional and more caramel/sweet malt base would have brought a better balance in my opinion. moejuck (1165), Ohio, USA Jul 4, 2006 The Weyerbacher Hops Infusion is brewed with seven different types of hops. This makes for an extremely hoppy beer, of course. The problem here is the one dimensional aspect of the brew. There is no malt backbone here at all. It would have been nice to taste more balance in the flavor. The pour is a dark orange color with a nice white head that had decent retention. The aroma was of bitter hops and grapefruit. HighGravity (890), Baltimore, Maryland, USA Jun 29, 2006 The new incarnation of this brew is much more enjoyable than the previous recipe. The elder formula was going in to many directions at once. The current beer is a nice solid IPA that straddles the citrus/woodsy line very well. There is enough malt in the backbone to keep things interesting. I really like the beers dryness; it is great for the summer. roder60 (1019), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 26, 2006 Pours a clear dark orange with a nice amount of foamy manilla head. Aroma is hoppy and citrusy, a bit of pine too. Flavor is fruity and mellow for an ipa, good sweet grapefruit flavors. Overall, a nice sippin ipa. jimbowood (947), Athens, Georgia, USA Jun 24, 2006 Bottle. I was hoping for more here. Pretty weak hop character. Nothing special. Bland.
