Silphium (2114), Haslett, Michigan, USA Jun 6, 2006 Burnt cloudy ochre body, thick puffy cream head. Earthy, grassy body, estery and spicy, floral, with some Fuggles character and bubblegum. Bready, caramely body with grassy, spicy hops, bubblegum, and potpourri, including rose hips. Has an iced tea character. Medium-bodied with rich hops complexity. Interesting and very good. FridgRaider (108), Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 6, 2006 Not the best hoppy beer. amber in color. It was kind of dry going down. Big disappointment. But still drinkable. Funknmilla (577), Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 5, 2006 Updated: Dec 10, 2007Trying this beer for the second time, and after the new label change.Nice copper color and it has a nice mingled citrus taste. I don’t love it; actually a little disappointed. The taste does get better when the bottle gets air exposure. Then the texture becomes silky in your mouth. A little heavy..sticky almost..only the label made it to "The Book". HopBackDoc (393), Hatboro, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 5, 2006 Updated: Aug 23, 2006Nice copper color with a firm head. Aroma was fruity and piney, but not overpowering. A bit thin in body, but with a well balanced hop taste ending in a malt sweetness. I was expecting more, but nevertheless a good IPA. Sregnar35 (729), Rotterdam, New York, USA May 29, 2006 A bit thin, but very hoppy. Pours a nice brownish orange with a good sticky head. Aroma is amazing fresh citrus and pine. Flavor is very strong a nd hoppy, burns your tongue and lingers. Problem I found was the body of this beer, just too thin. GeneralGao (3051), Iowa City, Iowa, USA May 28, 2006 12 oz bottle. Clear copper color with bubbly off white head that kaced the glass. Enticing flowery, citrusy hop aroma with a spcy malt note. Unfortunately the flavor isn’t as attractive as the aroma. Lots of hop bitterness throughout with a tart fruity accent at the end. A bit too much carbonation. kingfiogojr (78), Baltimore, Maryland, USA May 21, 2006 Pretty damn good IPA. Not as balanced as the Dogfishhead 60 minute, and a little less alcohol than expected, but it packs a hoppy punch that cannot be denied. Citrussy, hoppy notes abound in this one. It’s also cheaper than the dogfishhead 60 and the Troegs nugget nectar, and at it’s price point, it’s very do-able. Another fine beer from another fine PA brewer. ante (2904), Stockholm, Sweden May 21, 2006 Bottle. Clear amber, small dissapearing head. Hoppy aroma of grapefruit, orange-peels and grass. Dry, clean flavour of grapefruit amd grass with a resiny bitter aftertaste.
