Hildigöltur (5109), København, Denmark Jul 14, 2005 Bottled. Orange coloured. Rather hoppy aroma and flavour. Quite sweet with some bitterness in the finish. hammenlind (738), Sundbyberg, Sweden Jul 10, 2005 Pours hazy copper, with a thick white foamy head. Extreme hoppy and slight nutty aroma. Hoppy flavour as well with herbal hints. Refreshing, citric taste. A little oily mouthfeel. Excellent dry, fruity, bitter finish. ontario102 (794), Boise, Idaho, USA Jul 10, 2005 Bottle: Light bodied, cirusy, and malty, thid one is pretty complex for an IPA. This is musky, floral, a bit chewy and pretty good. Very hoppy but the blend is quite nice. Nice supporting caramel and nutty maltiness. Schultsc (478), Henderson, Nevada, USA Jul 5, 2005 More like Hops Confusion--Little or no hops aroma and very little bitterness. Virtually no malt characteristics which give in a thin, pilsneresque quality. Don’t be fooled by the lable; this gimmicky beer is no IPA. Walt (2289), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jul 1, 2005 Pour is rich orange amber with a nice tan head...smell is grapefruit, lemons, dirt...taste is fairly well balanced...nice sweet and malty up front, then a quick aggressive bitterness cleans it up...good, but a strange bad bitter aftertaste biz82 (1328), austin, Texas, USA Jun 29, 2005 Hazy amber with some big ’ol chunks of hops floating in it. Creamy tan head. Grassy and resinous aroma. Tart. Grassy in flavor also. Honestly, the hops don’t come together. A brewer is like a chef and matching hop varities is like blending spices. A prospect that becomes more complicated the more you add. BuckNaked (1204), Tempe, Arizona, USA Jun 26, 2005 Draught @ Old Dominion Beer Festival 2005: Slightly cloudy amber/orange body with a medium white head. Aroma is sharp citrus, floral lime, resinous pine hops with a bit of sweet caramel malt. Taste is all hops -bitter grapefruit, pine, orange/lime, with barely a hint of sweet malt. Light-medium bodied, moderate carbonation, clean & crisp. ABUSEDGOAT (1934), California, USA Jun 25, 2005 Pours a dark orange body with a nice head. The aroma is dominated by hops obviously, mostly fruity. Hints of grapes, and the alcohol is also slightly detectable. Overall it’s a slightly above average IPA with a fruity aftertaste - grapelike. Enjoyable but not enough bite to keep me interested.
