Hangover (682), Atlanta, USA Jul 18, 2008 Copper pour with a nice creamy tan head. Malty aroma, floral and light citrus hop nose. Medium bodied, nice carbonation. Malty throughout, earthy and bisquit. For seven types of hops they are a bit muted by the strong malt presence in this one. Some citrus, grapefruit, a bit of pine. Hops are there and taste pretty good but it gets thick and malty once warmed. Good though.
BeerBelcher (750), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Oct 10, 2008 Hazy and thick, with not a lot of head as it came out of the bottle. "There’s so much hop oil in this beer that it doesn’t even look like beer," I thought to myself. But sadly, this prediction proved to be a disappointing falsehood. This beer really didn’t strike me as a all that hoppy...at least not in a way I could really enjoy. Aroma was dry and pine-y, but not really all that pungently hoppy. Flavor is also very dry, a bit pine-y, and very dryly bitter. Not much else going on here though. Not a lot of malt or other flavors. Mouthfeel is good, not too sticky.
I’d weakly recommend this. mar (604), Dallas, Texas, USA Oct 9, 2008 bottle thanks to daknole. murky amber pour with a small ring of thick froth. citrusy fresh hops on the nose. a little thick on the palate with a very sharp hop taste and a resiny bitter finish. Petrucci914 (374), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Oct 6, 2008 Pours an amber color with a small off-white head and some webs of lacing. Aroma is lightly malty with piney hops. Taste is about the same - pretty good but nothing memorable. bdigi66 (461), Ft Wayne, Indiana, USA Sep 30, 2008 Bottle: Pours a light copper color with a decent-sized white head...fair retention and lacing. Light malts, resiny hops...and not much else, maybe some mild citrus notes. Flavor follows, dry bitter finish. Not sure how old this was but it was very mediocre. taalhiker (111), Dayton, Ohio, USA Sep 30, 2008 from bottle. Part of April Dayton Beertasting event.
Pours clear amber with long lasting head. Aroma of piney hops.
