Hotel is an Imperial Porter of 8.2% strength, brewed with ale yeast (so its not a Baltic Porter, technically). Silky smooth and nicely balanced, this beer can only be found in bottles at the brewery on Saturdays, beginning December 12, as long as supplies last. We have just over 60 cases and donít expect them to last more than 2 or 3 weeks. In draft, we filled 65 half kegs which will be going to markets in PA, OH, MD, MA, and FL.

Draft. 5 oz flight at Teresaís Pours dark, almost opaque, brown with a velvety tan head. Aroma of molasses, brown sugar, roasted malts, barley, and smokey notes. Body is medium, but, like most porters, a bit on the thin side for me. Mouthfeel is somewhat slick because of the lack of body, but not unpleasant. Okay porter, just not my favorite style.

UPDATED: JAN 30, 2010 On tap at redlight. Pours dark brown, tan head. Aroma is whats to be expected with a porter, dark malts and some baking chocolate smells. Taste is balanced, nice rich dark, roasty malts and a bit of the similar bitter/baking chocolate. Medium, smooth mouthfeel, very easy going considering the abv.

Draft at redlight redlight. Pours a dark, translucent brown with a generous tan head. Very nice nose. Some hints of chocolate and roasted malts. Subtle hints of coffee and condensed milk. Even has a nice, slightly earthy undertone. The flavor is good but could go a little further in one direction or the other. Still it has a good sweetness up front that rounds out with a nice roasted bitterness in the finish. Smooth and creamy on the palate. Not bad at all.

12 ounce bottle shared by footbalm, thanks Eric. Pours a dark brown color with a medium white head. A sweet milky aroma, light hops and chocolates. The flavor is initially a hoppy porter, pine and earthy notes, later a more milky sweet chocolate flavor dominates. Sweet and tasty. Nice.

12oz bottle thanks to ShadesofGray. Dark black, coffee colored head, looks like it should. Smells roasty, not bad but nothing great. the flavor was very, very robust with roasted flavors, burned, bitter, alcohol, actually not too shabby but really strong. Overall, a decent porter but not one Iíd feel the need to revisit. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 01-14-2010 04:16:29

Dark brown, with a tan head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, nuts, and caramel. Flavor is roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, and hops. Ends a little bitter, but it works well. Medium body with a long finish.

Pours an almost black with amber notes and a medium bubbly/creamy tan head that laced. Aroma of milk chocolate, some fruity almost tart cherry notes, light roasted and toasty malt notes, Flavor of roasted malt, dark chocolate, light coffee and caramel. Nice smooth mouthfeel and kind of reminded me of the Weyerbacher Imp Stouts.
