noelcb (271), Toledo, Ohio, USA Feb 17, 2006 I put off opening this after growing weary of Sara Lee frozen pumpkin pie-in-a-bottle pumpkin ales. This one was delightful homemade baked in a woodfired oven pie. Poured cloudy dark copper, moderate head, no lace. Aromas of orange, apple, raisins, cloves, ginger, cinnamon, tea, piecrust, caramel and brown sugar. Wonderful smoky flavor with pumpkin, spice yeast, apple, orange, and malt. Tastes like the almost-burnt crust edge with a bit of pie filling caramelized on it. Nice mouthfeel. Just delightful. BrewManHere (9), Pennsylvania, USA does not count Nov 17, 2007 Tremendous beer, stong pumpkin flavor and one of the best beers I have ever had. I’m biased as this is my favorite type of beer. Unfortunately you can only get this during the fall months. dalepryor (148), St. Petersburg, Florida, USA Aug 12, 2008 One of the most amazing pumpkin beers i’ve had. The aroma is full of pumpkin and spice, almost like sniffing a pumpkin pie, the flavor doesn’t dissapoint ethier, the flavor is pretty much as if you put pumpkin pie and cake in a blender and liquified it. This is amazing stuff here! emerica56 (481), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA Sep 18, 2007 This beer pours a clear golden color with a nice head and decent laceing. It had some strong smell of nutmeg and mild hints of bubble gum. As it slides down your throat there are some strong flavors of nutmeg and cinnamon hopps. There also is some intence clove on the back of your palate. The after taste is very smooth and the nutmeg coats the inside of your mouth and stays arround for a while. crzybob77 (519), Richmond, Virginia, USA Oct 31, 2006 Amazing aroma of cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove. Smooth texture with a full flavor. Flavor has great spices like the aroma and a sweet pumpkin flavor. Finisbes with some warming alcohol. This was the absolute perfect beer to drink on halloween night. Really enjoyed this one.
