radiomgb (1776), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada May 11, 2008 Orange-amber in colour, thin but lingering off-white coloured head, good lacing. The aroma has lots of pumpkin and spices, quite in-your-face, some alcohol. The flavour again has lots of pumpkin, moderate sweetness with lots of spices, creamy and some alcohol. Spicy mouthfeel, medium body, medium carbonation. Finishes with lots of pumpkin, spice and moderate alcohol.
This isn’t lacking in pumpkin or spices. This one has balance and I don’t think I have ever said that about a Weyerbacher beer before. Definitely something that I couldn’t have often, once a year is enough.
650ml bottle obtained in a trade with HogTownHarry, thanks Harry.

mar (604), Dallas, Texas, USA Oct 11, 2008 bottle thanks to daknole. great amber pour with no head just a ring of froth. mixes spices of cinnamon, nutmeg and brown sugar on the nose. quite smooth on the palate with a huge cinnamon/nutmeg flavor that tastes like thanksgiving. porter4porter (29), Florida, USA Oct 9, 2008 Bottle at Odin’s Den, poured copper with a thick head, aroma of spice, body was thick and malty with plenty of spice and a nice pumpkin taste at the finish with a detectable amount of alcohol, bigger, better and stronger than your average pumpkin ale mwelsh13 (190), Maryland, USA Oct 8, 2008 12 oz draught at Frisco Grille poured medium copper color. Butter, honey and pumpkin in the aroma. Medium body with a nice malty, pumpkin taste. It is more about the pumpkin than it is about spice. Great beer this time of year. GodOfThunder (30), Orlando, Florida, USA Oct 8, 2008 On draft at Redlight Redlight. Pours a cloudy orange-brown with a thick head. There’s a whole lotta spice in this beer. Lots of brown sugar and pumpkin pie spice. Very sweet and lacking roasted malt. It is a little thick on the palate and has a nice kick. Overall, a good pumpkin and sweeter, thicker and stronger than most. MaltOMeal (327), Land of Sugar, Texas, USA Oct 8, 2008 12oz bottle thanks to Johnykat. Pours a dark amber with a thin tan head. nose is wonderful assortment of spices - nutmeg, pumpkin, cinnamon, etc. - and is the best character of this beer. taste is spicy and pumpkin-pie like. Mouthfeel is medium and sweet. A very nice pumpkin ale.
