A full-flavored hop assault delightfully lacking in balance. A combination of Centennial, Cascade, Simcoe and Columbus hops are used to produce pungent aromas of grapefruit, pine and citrus.

Pours hazy light amber with an orange blush. Has a subtle glow. About a fingers worth of white foam that fell fast to a thin film on top and an island of big bubbles. Soapy lace. Nose is fresh. Melon, caramel malt, hop floral and underlying spice. Tangerine and grapefruit. It’s full of citrus and smells sweet like a hop punch. In the glass the malt smacks of a little brown sugar and soft earth. Taste is grapefruit up front with all that sugar and herbal citrus. Dry grain and a little pepper. Finishes with pine, an assertive bitter and some resin. Body is light but sticky.

This is a lively beer. Crisp and has plenty of rousing hop bitter without being too aggressive. It’s dynamic and while it could have used a touch more bread the malt was as sweet as possible to keep a good balance between the ever expanding hops. They take you on a fabulous ride form grass and perfume to citrus fruit delight and a terrific bitter. There’s a bit of excitement in the drink and a colossal aftertaste that lingers and makes your mouth water.

Moderate to strong citrus and light resin hop aroma. Hazy orange color with a medium white head. Only a mild amount of bitterness in this one. Gets sweet in the middle and slowly fades to the finish. Palate is a little light.

Hazy gold - amber beer, good pale cream coloured head. Palate is light and dry and a little crisp. Mild minerals. Semi dry pale malt base. Light pine and orange hops. Finishes dry with mildly bitter grass. Comes over as a little disjointed but fine.

Comes out of the tap a barely transparent amber with a thick, fine-bubbled pale amber head that sticks around for a while. Hoppy aroma has both woody and resiny components, as well a a nice malty underpinning and more than a hint of citrus. Flavor has a firm hoppy note, but is barely bitter, and has malty and Mandarin orange tones supporting it and providing a little sweetness to balance the slight hoppy bitterness. Firm, fizzy texture leaves a nice hoppy and slightly fruity finish.

UPDATED: OCT 6, 2013 6/17/13. Bottle. Pours a clear orange with a thin white head. Aroma of sweet caramel malt, light fruits, toasted malt, citrus, jam. Flavor of bready malts with a bitter hoppy finish and some light fruits as well. Some stinky, grassy hops in the finish too. Not a super hoppy IPA, as it’s definitely more malt forward. The hops do flourish more as the beer warms. Easy drinking though. 7/4/7/4/14 [3.6/5]

Update 10/6/13: on tap. Aroma of light fruits, stinky and grassy hops, citrus, jam. Flavor of citrus hops, grassy hops, tropical fruits, earthy hops, bubblegum. Definitely more hoppier in the tap version, especially the fruity/citrus hops with some grassy hops as well. Deserves a slight bump. 7/4/7/4/15 (3.7/5)

bottle. cloudy orange with a small white head. grapefruit and pear aroma. a very dry, bitter ipa with a high attenuation. not a whole heck of alot of residual sweetness left in this one. light bodied. reminds me of founders all day ipa. citrusy, bitter, soda cracker notes.

Bottled. Poured clear medium golden with a fluffy white head. The aroma picked up fresh grass, pine, and grapefruit over caramel.. on the malty side overall.. aiight. The flavor found similar.. green grass, pine, and peppery bitterness over semi-sweet caramel and bready notes.. lots of residual bitterness on the long finish. Light-medium bodied and scratchy on the palate.. more bitter as it warmed.. adequate carbonation.. not bad, but not memorable.

Misty orange body with small grey lace. Orange compote, juniper berries, dry yeast, fairly clean. Soft bitterness, too low actually, although the far end is dry enough to accentuate the hops a bit. Bit thin yet drinks nicely. (33cl bottle from Bière Révolution)
