EithCubes (5091) - New Jersey, USA - MAY 1, 2013
Bottle. Nose of orange and paper, pungent, a little catty, clearly Simcoe, Cascade with only medium grapefruit. Gradient orange-golden with a rocky, dense beige head. Taste is bone dry and smashing with (lightly rubbery) strong bitterness. Not aggressive, keeps the astringency to a minimum and the carbonation manageable in the middle latitudes. Lightish/watery body, calls back fruit juice, lightly tropical but without leaving the claustrophobia behind. I like it.

glennmastrange (2331) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - APR 30, 2013
Bottle. Light to moderate roasted grain for the malt, herbs and pine for the hops, light soap for the yeast with paper and sour milk in the background. head is small, frothy, white with a spot or two of lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is slightly hazy medium amber. Flavor starts lightly to moderately acidic, then the long finish is lightly acidic and moderately bitter. Palate is light to medium, watery with a lively carbonation. A little off in aroma, a little flat in flavor, but it’s drinkable and fairly enjoyable.

Pours very hazy reddish golden with a rather small frothy offwhite head that slowly dissipates while leaving a small sticky trace on the glass. smell is fruity and tiny herbal with bread, dried apricots, grapefruit juice, grass, orange peal, pine needles, red berries, crackers, wood, lemon grass and lemon balm. Taste is bitter, herbal and tiny fruity with bread, crackers, pine needles, resinous wood, lemon balm, sage, dried apricots, gooseberries, passionfruit, grapefruit juice, lemon zest, orange zest, grass and black tea. Mouthfeel is crisp, astringent, tiny watery and light bodied. Finish is bitter and herbal with dried apricots, grapefruit rinds, crackers, bread, lemon balm, dill, gooseberries, orange zest and lemon zest. Refreshing and pretty tasty…

No "last chance" for this brew. Lackluster in taste & an extremely bitter palate. Not my cup of tea.
