3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured transparent gold, with a thin, white head. Floral and grassy aroma. Taste is a nice dry, grassy bitterness. Not a lot of malt or body. Decent IPA.

3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a hazy orange. Citrus hops in the nose (grapefruit, orange). More resinous hop in flavor. Finishes bright and sharp. Easy drinking and good example of West Coast beer made on the East Side. Extra point Overall for HELPING ANIMAL RESCUE! Huzzah!

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle, bought @ Havnens Vin & Tobak, Vejle. Light hazy amber with a small, creamy white gilm head. Pleasant fresh apricot and grapefruit aroma. Medium carbonation, fine creamy and dry mouthfeel. Flavour is elegant, bitter, apricot, grapefruit. Sadly a bit yeasty in the end. Good bitterness, though.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a golden yellow from the bottle with thin off-white head and good lacing. Aroma of fresh hops, grassy and floral, with pale malt back bone. Taste follows almost to the t, but a hint of bitterness on the back end. Pretty good, nice fresh hop flavor.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
This pours an amber-gold color with a good thick khaki head. Citrusy aroma with biscuity malt and grass. Slick body, fairly light and easy going down, with toasty malt, sweet caramel, stale grain, grassy notes, and a dry and bitter pine hop finish. Nothing special but I enjoyed the bottle I had.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pint pour of lightly hazed with fairly white head. Nose starts off nice, nicely hopped, bitter and citrus, but comes through with feet and sweat... Flavor is much nicer, juicy and bold. Citrus and bitter sharp hops. Medium to lighter body with decent lacing. Not bad.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Reviewed 1/15/2013. 12 oz bottle into a Samuel Smith pint glass.
A: Pours a golden amber color. The head is a one finger white color with poor retention.
S: This seems to take the herbal/piny route as far as hop profiles go. There is a hint of grapefruit peel as well, but this is mostly pine. Underlying that even further are some biscuity malts and some Simcoe cattiness. The aroma isnít quite my cup of tea, but itís alright.
T: Again with the piny hop profile to start. The hops come across as being generically bitter with no real hop flavors aside from a vague grapefruit finish. Only truly distinctive flavor note I can pick up is green tea in the midtaste. The finish gradually becomes a bit like - dare I say - Windex after some sips. Itís not particularly good, but itís mild enough where I donít really sweat drinking this too much.
M: I enjoy the crisp dryness of the body, but the texture squeezes far too much hop harshness out of the flavors it seems. The lingering aftertaste is very resinous and oily.
O: Apart from their solid Imperial Pumpkin Ale, I havenít been impressed by Weyerbacherís offerings - this being no exception. I hate how most middle-of-the-road IPAs (like this) are all about generic bitterness instead of complex hop/malt interplay. Meh.
