A full-flavored hop assault delightfully lacking in balance. A combination of Centennial, Cascade, Simcoe and Columbus hops are used to produce pungent aromas of grapefruit, pine and citrus.

Mild grassy hop flavor, pours a hazy amber with a full white head. This has a mild hop flavor, with a little lingering citrus in the finish. Fairly thin mouthfeel, with not much going on. Iím glad that part of the profits are going to charity, but there are much better IPAís out there.

Not the most aggressive IPA out there. Certainly not on the same playing field as Weyerbacherís Double Simcoe. I realize itís not a DIPA, either, but I just donít think it hits it on the head like itís big brother does. Pours a pale amber, with very little head to speak of. Hops dominate the nose, with some pine and floral notes, which carry over into the flavor. The pine and florals are accompanied by basically every hop descriptor I can think of. I got citrus, herbal/spice, and some dank notes. Maybe not so much grassiness like youíd get from the nobles, though. It all left me wondering if I felt the complexity in the long finish was a good thing, or if itís just too busy. I still have a lingering, slightly less than clean, piney aftertaste an hour later. Not much malt character to speak of in terms of flavor, or mouthfeel. Overall, itís a better than average IPA, but nothing to write home about.

Pours a medium golden color a finger of foam... aromas are toasted malts and earthy spicy hops. On the palate... its pretty unimpressive. A hop assault it is not. Its got some nice earthy spice coming from the simco and a bit of bitter centennial byt the malt is overwhelming and a bit blah. NOt horrible but doesnít stand out in the sea of IPAís currently on the market.

Deep golden-orange body, small white head, spotty lacing. Nose is mellow citric and piney hops and pale malts. flavor is similar. Lacking any assertiveness or depth of flavor. Medium bodied, smooth carbonation, light bitterness.

From notes: Poured clear straw color, with a touch of orange and a 1-finger off-white head. Aroma of piney hops. Body is medium-to-full, with a dry finish. Flavor of piney hops with a resiny note. Nothing special, just a good, solid IPA and it benefits a good cause.

Nice color and attractive color, Hoppy "zap" goes away leaving pine to linger and linger. Nice but Iíve come to expect a bit more from Weyerbacher.

Faint hop aroma. Nice balance. Citrus and pine flavors, not much in the way of malt.

Good solid IPA. Nice floral hop nose. Good body and finish. Another winner from a good brewery
