Formerly Weyerbacher Belgian Triple.
At Weyerbacher we've recreated a Belgian Trippel without limitation. We use premium Pilsener malts, candi-sugar, and yeast strains- all imported from Belgium. To be true to the style, our Trippel is bottle conditioned. This means we add a bit of candi-sugar and yeast just prior to bottling. This imparts a special effervescence to the beer, a creamier carbonation, and also extends the shelf life. The on-going fermentation inside the bottle will change the character of the beer as it ages, and you'll find it becomes dryer with age. You may want to lay down a few bottles for future evaluation. We suggest storing at cellar temperatures -around 55 degrees F- and away from light.

Bottle into a goblet. Aroma is of fruit and malt. Pour is a hazy orange gold with a fine head. Taste is a nice warmth with a round fruit and malt. Finish is way over the top, fruitful malt that lasts. This is a great ale!!! Be only 50 miles away from the source helps.I

Decent looking brew, with some good smell. Yeasty brew, that is overdone on the sweetness for me at this style. Expected a more hoppy brew.

Had it in a bottle. Very sweet aroma. People say bubblegum but I get hints of orange juice and lemon. Pours opaque orange gold with a quickly fading off white head. This beer has more stuff floating in it than any recent beer I can recall. It looks totally unfiltered. Mouth feel is medium heavy, with a light finish. It is sweet, My first glass went down much smoother than youíd think a 9.3% abv beer would. The sugar and alcohol will cause most a hangover if you have three or more.

I had it on tap. It pours an orange color with some white head. The aroma is spice and yeast. The aroma was a bit underwhelming. The taste was nice white spice, bread, fruit, and alcohol. For the alcohol content, it went down very smoothly. This was good.

Bottle @ home. Clear a bit orange golden color, small white to off-white head. Both aroma and taste are malts, quite floral, very sweet and slightly herbal. Average to medium body, average carbonation. Hate to say it, but itís a typical US made Belgian style tripel and itís just not very good.

On tap at Thristy Monk. This poured a light yellow color with a white head. The aroma is unpleasant with some corn and hay coming through and a hint of citrus. The flavor is a bit boozy with some lemons showing up. This was a bit like malt liquor I hate to say. I complained so much about it the bartender gave it to me on the house. Overall bye Felicia.
