COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Formerly Weyerbacher Belgian Triple.
At Weyerbacher we've recreated a Belgian Trippel without limitation. We use premium Pilsener malts, candi-sugar, and yeast strains- all imported from Belgium. To be true to the style, our Trippel is bottle conditioned. This means we add a bit of candi-sugar and yeast just prior to bottling. This imparts a special effervescence to the beer, a creamier carbonation, and also extends the shelf life. The on-going fermentation inside the bottle will change the character of the beer as it ages, and you'll find it becomes dryer with age. You may want to lay down a few bottles for future evaluation. We suggest storing at cellar temperatures -around 55 degrees F- and away from light.

Had in both 12 oz bottle and bottle conditioned. Strong yeast, lemon, flavor. Much more mellow than 12 oz bottle but great flavor and great mouthful. Alcohol seems a little stronger than 12 oz bottle, warms the back of the throat. Pretty tart. Very good, two different experiences between the bottles. Worth a try to get both.

First consumed on tap at Columbus Winter Brewfest. Today poured from a bottle dated 5/13/14 into a snifter golden light orange with a huge light beige head. Aroma is fruity Belgium yeasts. Flavor is candied sugar & fruits. Banana bubblegum here. Ever so slight bitterness balances the sweetness. Highly carbonated. Nicely done. Going to lay 3 bottles of this 6 pack down & drink 6 months apart down the road.

Light amber with light rimming offwhite head; aroma is sweet malty with Belgian yeasty bubble gum notes; Flava is rich sweet malt Belgian sugary and touch of herbal spiciness(hint if nutmeg?); feels medium to thick and silky smooth ; finishes malty cloying dry notes of grassy grain

A typical Tripel hop beer with a refreshing taste that is an easy sipping or slamming beer dependent on your mood. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Fizzy and bitter, but just the right amount of sweetness. Great citrus/malty taste. Like it.

Bottle at home from backlog notes 07/08. Pours a clear golden color with a medium sized white head. The aroma and flavor have sweet candi sugar, citrus, pear and light banana fruit, mild spices with a light bitterness to the finish, some alcohol,, decent but tripels are not my favorite.

Reviewed from notes. Bottle share with Myrik, the BA. This was poured into a chalice and a tulip for me. The appearance was a nice looking hazy orange to golden yellow color with a decent one finger white foamy head that quickly dies to a film coating the top of the beer. There was some light speckled lacing gracing the sides of the glass. The aroma had some Belgian spices over coating a nice sweet sugared fruit/candi like maltiness. The taste was mainly sweet and spicy through the Belgian spices and the sugary sweetness. On the palate, this one sat at/about a light to medium on the body. Sessionability - not really as I found myself sipping this one for the most part. The carbonation seemed fairly good the tripel style. Overall, good tripel worthy of having again.

Appearance: hazy golden-yellow. Two finger soapy foam head. Aroma: can smell the Belgian yeast as soon as I opened the bottle. Some funky citrus aromas, a little ginger and spice. Taste: you taste the malt right off the bat with spicy notes on the back end. The look and smell is deceiving with the malt and alcohol taking center stage on the tongue. Overall: very interesting beer. Would try another but I probably wouldn't be able to get up after. Might have to cellar this one and try later. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sweet candy sugar aroma with some yeast and malt. Some banana nutty flavors. Low carbonation that does fast. Some really good flavors but a bit overly sweet with the sugars ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
