Commercial Description:
Formerly Weyerbacher Belgian Triple.
At Weyerbacher we've recreated a Belgian Trippel without limitation. We use premium Pilsener malts, candi-sugar, and yeast strains- all imported from Belgium. To be true to the style, our Trippel is bottle conditioned. This means we add a bit of candi-sugar and yeast just prior to bottling. This imparts a special effervescence to the beer, a creamier carbonation, and also extends the shelf life. The on-going fermentation inside the bottle will change the character of the beer as it ages, and you'll find it becomes dryer with age. You may want to lay down a few bottles for future evaluation. We suggest storing at cellar temperatures -around 55 degrees F- and away from light.

Traded bottle. Pours a clear golden-yellow colour with a small white head that disappears quickly. Big aroma of banana, a little spice, some barnyard straw and corn. The flavour is rather spicey and sweet plus a little alcohol in the finish. Pretty simple tripel.

Bottle. Pours a clear gold with a thick white head that became small quite quickly. Aroma is full of sweet notes, with sweet grain, yeast, floral notes and light fruit notes. Flavor begins very sweet but calms down with floral, yeast and light apple notes. Very highly carbonated.

bottle, pours hazy orange with a tall frothy white head. This beer is active! Aroma of citrus fruit, yeast and c\andy sugar. Sweet candy sugar and belgian yeast flavors with a dry lightly bitter finish of pepper and hops. Nice beer.

Golden pour with lots of foamy head. Very good representation of a tripel but not breaking new ground. Banana flavor with belgian malts and a good carbonation. Finishes wet and hangs on to the tongue. Would like it more with a drier finish.

Pours a fairly hazy, dark golden honey color. Nice, fluffy foam head, that leaves a slight foamy film covering. Lacing is solid, but slippery. The nose is fairly muted, as far as tripels go. Nice belgian yeast presence. Slight barnyard notes. Some citrus notes. Banana. Nice hints of spices. Minor phenol presence. Bananas and tree fruits. Nice medium level of peppery spice. Good presence of belgian yeast notes. Very nicely balanced. Very smooth and creamy texture. Nicely carbonated, with those tiny little bubbles, that I love so much. Very drinkable. Especially with the ABV so well hidden.

pours cloudy gold, with a huge white head. Lots of bubblegum in the aroma, plus a lot of banana and pineapple mixed with a little white wine. The flavor is aweet and fruity, but not as much as the aroma would suggest. Its a little more woodsy and citrusy.
