COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A fruity, caramelly nose is followed by a pleasantly malty palate with notes of candi sugar and the fruit you expect in a Belgian style. Finish is slightly malty with a hint of treacle.

The beer pours a reddish-caramel color with a tan head. The aroma has a lot of toffee and raisin notes up front. As the beer warms I start to get more dark fruit and cherries in the aroma, as well as some brown sugar-like sweetness. The flavor is more complex. I get some nice spices, with cinnamon really coming through strongly. I also get some toffee and caramel, as well as some cherries, raisins and other dark fruit. Once again the brown sugary sweetness comes through nicely, as does a hint of alcohol. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

6/4/12. On tap. Brown pour with a nice head. Surprisingly tart and somewhat funky aroma with bits of dark fruits, sugar, and maltiness. Malty and yeasty flavor, again with bits of tartness. Not too shabby.

(12oz bottle thanks to Mora2000) copper clear pour with film of off-white bubbles. Nose of honey, grain, light Belgian yeast and banana. Taste of banana extract, bitter, alcohol, a bit nutty, brown sugar, and a bitter linger that I actually enjoyed. Sweet cocoa on the palate finish as well.
