3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Intensely fruity, sweet, definitely a nice mango punch, but it kinda tastes more like a wine cooler than a real sour beer. I’d be interested to see how it ages, and it’s not awful, but a weird beer that I wasn’t in love with.

bottle. lightly hazy golden orange. tart and fruity with mango and orange. mild underlying sweetness, but the tartness really brightens things up. doesn’t come across as a high abv beer. this certainly isn’t what i expected, but i really enjoyed this one.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz bottle shared with ebone1988. The pour is a foggy orangey gold color with a thin white head and no lace. The aromas are definitely heavy in wheat. There is a little tropical fruitiness, specifically mango and a lot of yeast after that. I wish these people would give up on the Belgian yeast. Damnit. The flavor is a bit better. Completely away from the style, but I like it. There is a big fruitiness and a light sourness. There is a strong yeasty aspect but the funk comes through on the back end. The mouth feel is thin and lightly carbonated with a lingeringly sour funky aftertaste. Not too bad.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
September 18, 2015 - bottle via trade with Tom. Clear orange pour with some head that faded somewhat quickly. Aroma was fruity, bready, and alcohol. Taste was grainy, fruity and an awkward tartness. Dry alcohol in the finish.

Bouteille de Kingdom Liquor, thanks Deepak for the gift. BB 06/09/2019.

Cloudy , amber color with flakes of yeast . Aroma of wheat , yeast , mango. Fruity , yeasty, and really tart taste . Alcohol is hidden very well. Is it a really barley wine?

On tap at Dexters, pours a murky dark brown with a thin head, the aroma is pretty strange, barley wine like with a good kick of tropical fruit and melons mixed in with some sweetness, the flavor has a fruity front end of melon and fruit mixed in with the caramel and sweetness in the finish, really strange but it works.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
10 months after botteling. 12oz bottle into tulip. Lighrly chilled Apearance is golden yellow with almost no head. Some light lacing. Aroma is tarty with notes of banana and dried fruit. Taste is moderately sweet and fairly tart. Strong notes of mango. Some yeasty notes toward finish. Somewhat higher carbonation. Fizzy. Medium bodied. Thin texture, lightly sticky. No flavor of alcohol present. Overall I thought it was a well made beer. Unfortunately was a one time deal and limited availability for 19th aniversary. Tarts are not my specialty.

Bottle from craft. Big and bold. I like it. What stood out for me was the blend of the bready, tart, mange, wheat and banana flavors. It was a gamble, but it paid off. Well done.
