COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed to the classic “Weyerbacher anniversary requirement” of a strength of 10% ABV or more, Nineteen fits the mold and brings a new dimension to the anniversary pedigree: tartness! Two brews were made: a high-ABV mango-infused wheat beer and a tart blending beer, both using pale and wheat malts and a blend of Belgian yeasts. The final blended beer features both tropical sweetness, as well as the tart citrusy character of a spontaneously fermented beer. Nineteen should cellar quite well. Cheers!

Intensely fruity, sweet, definitely a nice mango punch, but it kinda tastes more like a wine cooler than a real sour beer. I’d be interested to see how it ages, and it’s not awful, but a weird beer that I wasn’t in love with.

Aged Bottle from Capone’s. Hazy copper pour with tan head. Nose was caramel malt, yeasy, rock sugar, hops, mango. Tastes yeasty, with notes of mango, hops, tangerine, wheat, and a complex finish.

Bouteille de Kingdom Liquor, thanks Deepak for the gift. BB 06/09/2019.

Cloudy , amber color with flakes of yeast . Aroma of wheat , yeast , mango. Fruity , yeasty, and really tart taste . Alcohol is hidden very well. Is it a really barley wine?

On tap at Dexters, pours a murky dark brown with a thin head, the aroma is pretty strange, barley wine like with a good kick of tropical fruit and melons mixed in with some sweetness, the flavor has a fruity front end of melon and fruit mixed in with the caramel and sweetness in the finish, really strange but it works.

10 months after botteling. 12oz bottle into tulip. Lighrly chilled Apearance is golden yellow with almost no head. Some light lacing. Aroma is tarty with notes of banana and dried fruit. Taste is moderately sweet and fairly tart. Strong notes of mango. Some yeasty notes toward finish. Somewhat higher carbonation. Fizzy. Medium bodied. Thin texture, lightly sticky. No flavor of alcohol present. Overall I thought it was a well made beer. Unfortunately was a one time deal and limited availability for 19th aniversary. Tarts are not my specialty.

Bottle from craft. Big and bold. I like it. What stood out for me was the blend of the bready, tart, mange, wheat and banana flavors. It was a gamble, but it paid off. Well done.

Pours slightly hazy orangish color with off white head. Aromas of wheat, tropical fruits, yeast, and booze. Sour lemon and sweet peachy mango flavor with wheat and doughy yeast. Slightly boozy. Medium to full body with moderate carbonation.

bottle @ Grassroots Natural Market / Jacksonville FL --- Slightly hazy dark amber color, good white head cover, curtain of lace. Taste is malt that is immediately taken over by somewhat sour tropical fruit, especially mango, adding citrus hops on the swallow, then moving to a medium finish. Crisp, refreshing, well-hidden alcohol, a good brew.
