Bottle shared by yourefragile. Thanks Mike! The beer appears light brown with an off white head that leaves some random spots of lacing on the glass. The aroma brings coffee and roast. The flavor is straightforward and fairly one dimensional, with coffee playing the lead role. Some light smoke adds a nice touch. Overall, a pretty decent beer. The beer pours a brown color with an off-white head. The aroma features a ton of chocolate and coffee notes, as well as some toasted malt and a bit of toffee. The flavor is similar. I get some caramel malt and coffee up front, as well as some very dry, almost bitter dark chocolate notes. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

12 oz bottle courtesy as an extra from a recent trade. Thanks! Pours a ruch well hazed dark copper brownish hue. Frothy beige head, sizable overall sticks around and laces small. Aromas are crisp toast, toffee, roasty earthy coffee elements. Touches of cocoa, some druit fruit, biscuits, coffee element meshes well with toasty and sweet malt. Initial is medium bodied, perhaps a touch lighter as the front end offers toast, toffee, coffee roast, cold coffee. Some cocoa, firm brown malt presence, biscuits. Toasty and mellow with a firm sweetness into the middle, offering more toast and coffee elements firmly into the backend. Coffee, toast, mellow sweetness. Flavorful, simple, enjoyable. Coffee element gave this a bit of life. Solid, lost a point overall for coming in such a big ABV package for it’s simplicity

12 oz. bottle from zathrus13- thanks, Jeff! Pours a semi-cloudy brownish amber color that looks clearer out of the bottle but gets murkier as it fills up. Small beige head with some film and a ring that remains. Aroma of coffee, earth, toasted brown sugar, and faint roasted malts. Takes a while to get much pop out of it. Flavor of coffee, toasted brown sugar, roasted malts, chocolate, and bitter earth. Light-bodied, with a roasty mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Pretty solid, and I probably should have had it sooner.

Pours hazy brown with nose of malt, nuts, mild coffee/toffee. Tastes fairly rich, with earthy brown sugary malt, nuts, toffee, and a complex finish.

Thanks to Michael for sharing this bottle. Served in a tulip. Pours a clear brown color with a small white head and some sparse lacing on the way down. The nose brings roasted malt as well as a bit of coffee. The flavor doesn’t stray too far, offering a good amount of the included coffee as well as some roasted malt and a bit of dark chocolate in the background. Medium body with average carbonation and a slightly-dry finish. Pretty good coffee brew. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 06-10-2011

Wish I had more of this one. Chestnut brown pour with an almost yellow head. Aroma of coffee, nuts, toasted malt and caramel. Quite creamy mouthfeel with coffee flavor with toasted malts, nuts and a caramel sweetness undertone. Phenomenal lacing. Great beer!
