Formerly Weyerbacher Imperial Stout.
Rich, velvety and deliciously complex, Weyerbacher Imperial Stout is a truly distinctive winter warmer. We use seven types of malt and two varieties of hops to bring forth this big brew. Quite robust and roasty on the palate, Weyerbacher Imperial Stout has a wonderfully fruity nose and a moderately dry finish. The taste is highly complex- perhaps you’ll even discern notes of expresso or chocolate.

12 oz. brown bottle. No freshness date seen. Poured out a deep, dark brown, with a dark tan head. It was huge at first, billowing out of the stout glass I poured it in. But, it faded to a generous lacing on top of the beer. Aromas of burnt malts, alcohol, and dark roast expresso coffee. Alcohol becomes more prevalent as it warms up. No hops aromas at all here, gang. Burnt sugar taste in the middle of it. Pretty potent stuff. Also pretty tasty.

To date, this is my favorite stout. Pours near black with a beautiful dark tan head. Toasted mocha with a slight alcohol note, what a great aroma! Flavor is rich and slightly fruity ending with a mild bitterness. Weyerbachers best brew.

Outstanding. Rich dark color with a gorgeous chocolaty head and frothy lace, has a ruby lining that I didnt notice untill I was nearly finished. Powerful roasted malt/chocolate aroma. Flavor is velvety smooth with rich chocolatey malts, some dark fruitieness especialy cherry, lightly roasted, finishes with a touch of bitterness. This is now my favorite stout.

Opaque black color, brown head. Mocha, coffee, and roasted malt aromas. Slightly sweet malt flavor, hints of chocolate. Finish was of coffee. Velvety mouthfeel, full body. Very good stout.

Pours a dark brown, with a fluffy brown head. Aroma is dry, astringent, not the best. Has a great velvet mouthfeel. Seriously sweet flavor with pronounced hop bitterness. Pretty darn creamy for an imperial. A good beer.

Bottled. Dark black with very rich brown head. Chocolate and coffee aroma. Full bodied, hard black malts gives a touch of acidity, yet a velvetty mouthfeel prevails. Coffee finish.

Reddish head. deep black color. Too bad I don't have regular access to this one. Everything seemed to compliment the other.

Lots of chocolate malted milk in aroma, perhaps some rich marmalade notes atop dark brown bread as well. Flavors slightly one-sided, mostly bready mocha. Dark dark dark brown, almost black. Close, but not quite there yet.

Wonderful aroma - I think of cherry-flavored pipe tobacco. Also a dark-chocolate/fruity aroma. Appearance is good - very very dark with brown head. Flavor is light fruity up front with a dark chocolatey finish. Palate leaves a bit to be desired...too carbonated on first taste.
