Commercial Description:
Formerly Weyerbacher Imperial Stout.
Rich, velvety and deliciously complex, Weyerbacher Imperial Stout is a truly distinctive winter warmer. We use seven types of malt and two varieties of hops to bring forth this big brew. Quite robust and roasty on the palate, Weyerbacher Imperial Stout has a wonderfully fruity nose and a moderately dry finish. The taste is highly complex- perhaps you'll even discern notes of expresso or chocolate.

Poured a watery deep black with very little clumping, lacing white head. Smells of chocolate and coffee and heavy roasted malt. Flavor was nutty, heavy on the roasted malt with a touch of coffee. Bitter, coffee flavor stays in the mouth.

12oz bottle. Back, with an ample brown head. Malt, chocolate, and mild cherry aroma. Malt flavor is a bit restrained up front, but builds to a huge roasted malt finish. finishes is a bit acidic. Nice.

About an average stout. Good but nothing special. See my colleagues for details.

Bottle. Small light brown head that dissapated almost immediately (left a small ring). Fair lacing. Opaque black body. Aromas of coffee, chocolates, with some fruit. Flavor of roasted malts; sweet initially with long semi-sweet finish with a hint of bitterness. Medium bodied. Syrupy texture. Almost flat carbonation. Very tasty.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a dark brown with a nice dark tan head with sticky lacing. Nice plum, smoke, chocolate, and bread in the nose and in the flavor. Very smooth with not much astringency. Well balance. Nicely made beer.

Poured deep black with thick brown head. Aroma of roasted malts and dried fruits. Flavor was roasted malts, cherries, a hint of coffee and cocoa, dry hop finish. Smooth and silky, but a bit watery for an Imperial Stout.
