Commercial Description:
Formerly Weyerbacher Imperial Stout.
Rich, velvety and deliciously complex, Weyerbacher Imperial Stout is a truly distinctive winter warmer. We use seven types of malt and two varieties of hops to bring forth this big brew. Quite robust and roasty on the palate, Weyerbacher Imperial Stout has a wonderfully fruity nose and a moderately dry finish. The taste is highly complex- perhaps you'll even discern notes of expresso or chocolate.

Oily opaque black with a quickly fading caramel colored head. Aroma is very roasty stouty indeed with a sweet bubblegum hint. Taste is somewhat more traditional, and not as roasty or overpowering as I usually expect from an Istout.

Bottle. Pitch black colour with a little and fast disappearing head. Aroma of licorice, roastedness, chocolate and little coffee. Flavour of roastedness, chocolate and coffee, ends up thin for a imp. stout. Low body.

12 oz Bottle-Poured a very dark brown color w/a slight reddish tint. Floral aroma of roasted malt. Big flavored stout-hits you with a lot of things, malt, barley, roasted almonds, smokey peat, coffee & chocolate. Very robust, but still very smooth & drinkable; some might say it was almost too smooth for a Stout. This is one you could sit back & enjoy a few of, not one that knocks you over the head & is so strong it takes you an hour to drink one. Long chocolate finish, very refreshing.

Trade from MrBendo. very fizzy. Pours a solid black. Not a lot of head. Flavors of figs and light coffee. Palate is lighter than expected.

Pours an opaque black with a thin tan head. Aroma is sweet and malty, nice roasty character. Flavor is strong semi-sweet dark chocolate over sugared coffee ... very rich. Nice lightly bitter coffee finish. Very good.

12 oz bottle...very dark brown on the pour with a brown sugar colored foam, that doesn’t stay around...smells like very ripe bananas....so lush wow!....tastes like baking chocolate and strong mocha, and the bananas are still present...a very refreshing stout (if there is such a thing)...very little bitterness on the finish...yum

Pours black with a fading, loose brown head. The aroma is soft serve chocolate icecream, milky and has a touch of rum. The flavor is funky upfront with a slightly tart chocolatey touch, hint of tobacco and a later roasty espresso finish. A bit thin in body, and is a bit too bubbly for an Imperial Stout. Not impressed.
