Commercial Description:
Formerly Weyerbacher Imperial Stout.
Rich, velvety and deliciously complex, Weyerbacher Imperial Stout is a truly distinctive winter warmer. We use seven types of malt and two varieties of hops to bring forth this big brew. Quite robust and roasty on the palate, Weyerbacher Imperial Stout has a wonderfully fruity nose and a moderately dry finish. The taste is highly complex- perhaps you'll even discern notes of expresso or chocolate.

Aroma: Nice, superb coffee, under creamy chocolate /malt. Top class. Flavour: Clean, full bodied stout, hints of hickory, bold with accents of burnt coffee. Good chocolate mouth feel. Great stout.

Deep black eclipse color. Small to no head tannish in color. Aroma is roasty, chocolate, coffee and vanilla. Touch of hops. A medium bodied imperial stout. Malts are roasty, chocolate and espresso. Touch of a nice hop bite. Nice balance. Not a lot of alcohol bite at 8.2%. Very drinkable Imperial Stout. Subtle, yet flavorful. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Dark black colour, with deep chocolate coloured head. Powerful coffee aroma. Cofee or espresso bitterness with a tart/bitter finish and aftertaste that I did not appreciate.

This bottled brew poured a small sized head of brown colored fine to large sized mostly lasting bubbles that left behind an opaque black colored body with no visible carbonation. Its dark brown malty aroma was complimented by its mild tingly mouth feel that smoothen in its finish. The flavor was milder than expected with a smooth malty dark malt flavor that was missing some of the notes I was expecting from an Imperial Stout.

Bottle ... poured like dirty motor oil with a frothy, creamy tan head. Extreme aroma of whisky, smoke and roast malt. The drink is almost fruity ... smashed berries on burnt toast, like. Dry tart finish. Light body.

Poured an opaque black color with a very dark tan head and some lacing. Aroma of hops, roasted malt, dark fruit, coffe and chocolate. Predominant coffee and chocolate taste with a slight alcohol backbone. Full mouthfeel.

Black color with a quickly vanishing thin head. Aroma is a little salty, with some soy sauce and roasted barley. Thick, malty flavor. Some chocolate and very light coffee. Quite sweet. Simple but decent.

Very very black with one of the deepest brown heads I have ever seen! Moderate/slight carbonation with a slight slickness to the mouthfeel. Aroma is loaded with lots of coffee and chocolate, while the flavor also has some licorice qualities to it. Very smooth and easy to drink, and there is no way to notice the alcohol.
